I am actually going to get this to see for myself all these good matches. Anyone know what matches they are showing.

I know it's much better but I saw the first 3 months and I wanted to puke with the Dupp CUp, Miss TNA, some Disco interview segment, midgets in garbage cans, Ron Killings hates the white man.

NWA right now is the best wrestling promotion in North America. I shit you not.

The PPV will have the Jarrett / Sting v. Styles / Syxx-Pac match from the anniversary show, and I also believe that it will have the cage match with America's Most Wanted v. Triple X for the NWA titles (a MOTYC), plus probably a lot more good stuff (I'm sure there'll be an X-match or two).

DEFINITELY worth the price and then some.

Well now I am not getting it because Directv is charging $10 for it.

DirecTV viewers will be given the opportunity to preview an upcoming NWA:TNA DVD this Wednesday night, which will air instead of the live pay-per-view, due to NASA holding a convention in the usual NWA:TNA arena this week. The DVD, entitled "Best of NWA:TNA's title matches" will feature matches including Jeff Jarrett vs. AJ Styles, Jeff Jarrett vs. Raven, Jeff Jarrett vs. Raven vs. AJ Styles along with the infamous America's Most Wanted vs. Triple X steel cage match from June 26th. This will be charged at the standard NWA:TNA pay-per-view price, $9.95.

Would they REALLY charge a penny to your cable bill? That's pretty stupid.

Oh, now it's NOT a penny? Not to be adick, but I wasn't even thinking about renting it for a penny anyway.

Moe they are doing this for those that missed the past Year and a half with their best shows. It is taped show of TNA like last week but this is a highlight show (they did not go live for 2 weeks because the Asylum is being used for other events).

You're a bit mistaken.

InDemand PPV has the 1 cent show. DirectTV does not.

From the mouth of Meltz:

For those who get DirecTV, the TNA show on Wednesday will be a regular price show called Best of TNA World title matches, featuring Jarrett vs. Styles, Jarrett vs. Raven, Jarrett vs. Raven vs. Styles and AMW vs. Triple X in the cage match. For those who get In Demand, it'll be the one cent show with Sting & Jarrett vs. Sean Waltman & Styles, Raven vs. Jarrett, Raven vs. Douglas with an announcement (no doubt of a hair vs. hair match coming in the next few weeks), announcement of Roddy Piper coming (9/17), Styles vs. Brown cage match, Raven vs. Styles vs. Jarrett NWA title and Triple X vs. AMW cage match. The one cent deal is also available in Canada on Belle Express Vue and VC-Canada.

Emphasis added.

Even if it WAS 10 bucks - what are you complaining about? Based upon the matchlists of either show, that's a card that's better than SummerSlam.

Is this some kind of scam? A 1 cent PPV.

I haven't seen a NWA show since the Special X show. I gotta see this.

It's that they started with cruiserweight crap.

Does anyone in this organization weight more than 150?

That's right Jon, you hate small guys aka cruiserweights.

And they do have very little size in TNA. Abyss is the biggest guy. He's 6'8, 320 and looks like Mankind, lol.

Well, I like D-Lo and Raven.

But this company really is full of has-beens and never will-bes.

But how can I respect anything booked around Shane Douglas and Jeff Jarrett?

AND WHY THE FUCK DOES TENAY KEEP SCREAMING?

Ok, off the soapbox now :p

Tenay is still a hell of alot better than Jim Ross. Screaming? Well probably to drown out that annoying Don West. Hudson should be behind the desk and Don West back on QVC!

BITTER I am that most of the show was a clip job, but for one cent, I guess I can't complain too much.

Especially since it featured the cage match largely unedited - a MOTYC, and EASILY better than anything the WWE has put on this year outside of Benoit v. Angle at Royal Rumble 03.

Two things, also:

1.) Despite some people's irrational hatred of cruizerweights, the X-Division has been an obvious success, in more ways than one (the most important being that it consistently produces GOOD matches). It's foolish to utterly disrespect that entire aspect of the promotion just because it happens to feature lightweights.

2.) It's bitterly ironic that Tazz labels the NWA a company of has-beens and never-will-be's - when the same could obviously be said about the WWE in its current state.

The difference being, of course, is that NWA has made far better use of their "has-beens" (Raven, D-Lo, Jarrett) than the WWE has of theirs (unless of course you think Steiner & Nash have been a success)?
