Remember the days of making bowls by wrapping aluminum foil around pens, or punching holes in beer cans, cutting holes in soda and gatorade bottles and running tubes to make a bong, actually having to slice a blunt and rewrap it? Sure you could have made a trip to the city, a la Jocefus, find a head shop and invest in some nice hardware, but when you're 15 and that's an hour plus bus trip away it's not that appealing.

I went to a liquor store by my house the other day, keep in mind now that I live in suburbia, white bread, NJ. I took my purchases to the counter and saw an array of paraphernalia looking back at me. Papers of all sizes, single blunts for purchase - these aren't so strange. How about these blunt wraps, though? They come in like 20 different flavors ranging from cherry to vanilla to champagne. He also had small bowls, not in a big display, but on one of those rotating racks like they were just run of the mill, impulse buy type items and screens. That's what got me the worst, he was selling fucking screens.

Maybe it's me. Maybe I'm getting old, but what the fuck? In my day we had to work for a good buzz, and we LIKED it!! Is there still the kid who everybody goes to with various plunder and asks him to make a bong out of it or is it just a case of going down to the local Wal-Mart and picking one out? Even getting high has sold out.

Let's remember though, the marijuana laws vary Widely from state to state. SO while it may be easier to smoke what ya got; getting caught with what ya got can be serious shit in the wrong place.

Well; if you think were UNITED States; they aint all united when it comes to this crop.

Some state are a slap on the wrist; some are heading towards allowing medicinal use. Some are talking decriminalization; the obvious, logical next step, in my opinion.

And sadly, as a teacher, I cant GIVE my whole opinion here. Paranoid? Well, I admit it is a lot easier to buy bowls and bongs these days, and there's also an array of papers, blunts, and wraps nowadays, but maybe it's for the better. Maybe we're moving closer to acceptance to marijuana. Listen, I don't think 15 year olds should be smoking pot, and they shouldn't be drinking beer either. I also don't see a problem with someone who is 21 to smoke pot. It should have the same laws as alcohol. I for one do not drink alcohol at all, but rather would smoke a doobie.

They were on key chains!!! I could never imagine it being that easy to get a bowl. We either had to make our own or take a day trip out to Illadelphia.

So we made a very simple bowl by chipping our way through the top corner making a decent size bowl. The did the same thing to the side, making the pipe end. It didnt taste all to good, but we were tired of throwing our bowls into the park lake whenever bike cops came strolling by.
