I know there are several renditions of King Arthur's story, Camelot and Knights of the round table. But which one is faithful to the original story?
I remember an old movie version of the story not sure what was the name (maybe it was Knights of the Round table) where Percival was the son of Lancelot of the Lake, and in the end, the "Voices" told him (after the fall of Camelot) that he was the purist of them all (something like that) and a bright light illuminated upon him.
In the movie "Excalubir", King Arthur was the son of Uther and pulled the sword from the stone. In the end everyone dies except for Percival, who King Arthur instructs him to throw the sword into the Sea.
In "First Knight", Lancelot is an entertainer/demonstrator of the sword who's parents were burned in a fire after a raid on his village. One of the Knights of the Round Table (Malagant?) goes against the values set forth by King Arthur, and leaves the Round table to wreck havok upon the lands. Henceforth, Lancelot takes his place and in the end, Malagant and King Arthur die and Lancelot is together with Geineeviere.
And of course there's the version by Monty Python and the Search for the holy grail. It's been awhile since I've seen it, so I'm unable to give a summary.
Thanks.
