I drove my parent's Datsun hatchback, but my very 1st car that was MINE was a '84 Toyota Celica. I had the flip up lights with it too. KEWL!
And My aunt who gave it to me had a sunroof in in too. Nice! Too bad it leaked towards the end and I had to seal it, but it looked cool.
Sorry, couldn't fine a good Google pic of it in any color. All of them had a flat back. Mine was much more boxy.

BRING BACK JOHNEEWADD!!!
Mine was a 1980 ford fairmont give to me by my grandmother. I still have it but I don't drive it. It still works pretty well and only has 60,000 miles on it. I was made fun of a lot in high school but I couldn't afford buying anything.
sorry no picture

My first car, which my parents bought me just before my senior
year of high school (82), was a 1975 Mustang II, just like this
one but in black. I totalled it in 1985.
http://www.carlover.com/bimages/299-2.jpg
The first one I bought with my very own money, was a 1989
Geo Metro LSI in electric blue. It didn't have air conditioning,
but other than that I loved that car. Drove it for five years and
96,000 miles, and it was still going strong. I was one of the first
people to buy one, and for the first few months all of us Geo
owners would wave at each other on the road, just like people
with Jaguars and Ferraris do. After a while, I'd just wave at
people in blue ones like mine. Eventually, sadly, the fellowship
dwindled to nothing. Ah well. *sniff*
couldn't find a pic of a blue geo, but mine looked just like this
Suzuki Swift. (edit: damn tripod.)

Big American car tires in the back, body chopped away to get them to fit, engine exposed (mostly)
6v 40 horses. With help( John Muir's book), the engine could be dropped in about 20 minutes.

Bought a 1984 Mustang GT even though I did not have a license... sold it six months later because of the same reason.
To my chagrin, I still do not have a license.

A 90' Chevy Cavalier-red. Not much to look at but it's been passed down 3 times, runs without flaw and has made it through 3 accidents(not from me!)without more than a scratch.

My first was a green and white Feefty Seex Chebby.
I had big dreams for that car, one of which was to build a bong into it behind a hidden compartment.
Never even got it running.
First car I had that actually ran was a gold '71 Delta Custom with a white top and lovely gold upholstery.
455, 4 barrel carb, a real beast on the highway.
I got nailed by the cops corpus indelecto banging some chick in the back seat of that rascal.
