I cannot take any list seriously that has Brock Lesnar and HHH at the top 2 spots.

I cannot take seriously any list that is put together by Pro Wrestling Illustrated... although it is cute when they try to convince the readers that their year-end awards are really and truly chosen by the readers.

The list is total kayfabe.
I mean, c'mon - Big Show above Kobashi? Not in this universe, nor any other where logic prevails.

I've always enjoyed these lists even if they're worked. Most of the names of the independent wrestlers crack me up. I will now bore you all with useless facts about the 13 year history of the coveted PWI 500. (Hey, I work overnights now)
The following names are the wrestlers who have somehow managed to have their names listed in every list . (1991-2003) I have also included the average placement of each.
-Booker T- #111
-Tom Brandi (Salvatore Sincere)- #198
-Masa Chono- #81
-Brian Christopher Lawler- #100
-Jeff Jarrett- #24 (!)
-Jushin Liger- #34
-Mitsuharu Misawa- #52
-Keji Muto (Great Muta)- #20 (!)
-Sabu- #78
-Syxx-Pac (X-Pac)- #88
-Rob Van Dam- #83
Here are the top 5 of each year.
1991- Hogan, Luger, Flair, Savage, Sting
1992- Sting, Savage, Flair, Rude, B. Hart
1993- B. Hart, Vader, Michaels, Sting, Yokozuna
1994- B. Hart, Hogan, Flair, Vader, Michaels
1995- Diesel, Michaels, Sting, B. Hart, Sabu
1996- Michaels, Giant, Sting, Kobashi, Ahmed Johnson
1997- Malenko, Misawa, Austin, Page, Luger
1998- Austin, Goldberg, Misawa, Page, 'Taker
1999- Austin, RVD, Misawa, Rey Jr., Rock
2000- Hunter, Rock, Benoit, Kobashi, Jarrett
2001- Angle, Austin, Benoit, Muto, Booker
2002- RVD, 'Taker, Muto, Jericho, Guerrero
2003- Lesnar, Hunter, Angle, Muto, Jericho

See, that's what I'm talking about with this list.
RVD in the top 100? Above Booker T? No, I don't think so. And I'm a RVD fan.
Sabu......SABU?!?!.....ahead of The Emperor of Kings, Masa Chono?
1nsert crack-smoking reference here.

Are you kidding me? I've enjoyed watching Booker ever since the first appearance of Harlem Heat where they still came out with their sister on WCW, but there is NO way Booker T is better than RVD. Weighing out their movesets, bumps and over all performance, RVD leaves Booker in the dust.

I think you both misunderstood what I meant. The guys I listed were the only guys who were listed in every top 500. I calculated their average ranking. It wasn't based on one year. Just the average of 13 years.

That's the funniest thing I've read in a while.
Also the fact that PWI is an American publication needs to be weighed in and the most American wrestlers not neccessairly the best wrestlers get ranked high. They throw in a few Japanese superstars so that people like us won't bitch as loudly. Triple H got ranked so highly because he is simply unbeatable. Brock Lesnar (black hole that he is) is the golden boy right now which explains his ranking. I'm still trying to figure out how Brock Lesnar got his own DVD released before Shawn Michaels got his. The WWE sucks.
Drugs weed out the weak and dependent.

RVD has poor verbal skills, and uneven charisma when he's not out working in the ring.
He is woefully inconsistent with his selling, and if he knows any ring psychology, he very rarely ever uses it (unless he's FORCED to do so by a superior worker, like Eddie Guerrero).
His workrate is sloppy at best, and he's been known to injure many of his opponents.
All he really has is an exciting moveset (which needs to be booked carefully so as to not expose his many flaws), and a built-in fanbase (from his ECW days) which ensures that he will always remain at a certain level of overness.
I like Rob - I have even argued that he should have (and maybe should still) won the title off of HHH - but better than Booker T? No. Booker beats Rob in almost every category.
