Well, another summer has pretty much come and gone. With Labor Day about a day away, it makes me think of my 2 least favorite September events. The Jerry Lewis telethon and the NFL season. I can tolorate the telethon. It's only on for 2 days. But I cannot tolorate football. I never have and I never will. And I don't know why? I am not a sissy-mary. I don't suck dick. I just never cared for the sport. I am a huge baseball and hockey fan, but they are both filled with non-American douchebags. Some on skates. But football has always been the American way for most men. But not I.

I've never liked football at all. Nothing about the game really interests me.

Even when someone wants to throw a football around, I suggest tossing around a baseball or playing basketball.

It seems that football is now America's game, not baseball. Which I really don't understand. It's not even professional either, a whole town will fill up the stands to watch High School kids play football. Count me out.

Join a Fantasy Football league for one season and that will change your whole attitude. I'm a hockey and EPL soccer fan myself but I started playing fantasy football a couple years ago and now I cant wait for the season to start.

actually for the last past 10 years, i really have dissliked football... i find it extremely boring.

they do a play for 3 seconds, rest for 45 seconds. in the average football game, there is only about 13 minutes of actual game play.

the 2 sports i follow are hockey... constant action. plus, winning the stanley cup is like winning the holy grail. unlike the vince lombardi trophy, the baseball trophy(which i still have yet to find out the name of it). and the basketball trophy(i cant remember the name, but isnt looked upon as this great thing).

winning the stanley cup is like seriously losing your virginity... you wait all these long hard years for it and when it finally does happen, you are happier then shit. plus it is the only trophy that is traveled around the world for people to see and the players to bring home. you see more people line up to see the stanley cup then any other award.

the other sport i follow, well duh is nhb/mma.

im a fan of boxing... but nhb/mma fighting takes it big time

I don't have that problem. My Direct TV Satellite has made football soo much better. In MY house on Sunday there is NEVER a commercial or lull in the action because I'm constantly jumping between the 3 best games.

tell that to tampa bay who never even got to the superbowl until this year, or the 69 mets who had to endure having the worst record in baseball history in 62, or the 69-70 knicks who won new yorks first basketball championship, or the 69 jets who pulled off arguably the greatest upset in sports history by beating johnny unitas and colts. meanwhile the devils have either been to the fianls or one the championship for many years this decade? same thing with the redwing and avalanche.

this is the truth about winning the lombardi trophy, its a shitload harder to win that than any other trophy in the major sports. for gods sakes winning back to back championships in this day and age is being adynasty. excluding last season, the past 4 superbowl victors werent even in the superbowl the following season.

Actually, that's the thing I like about Football. These guys aren't supposed to be role models, they're ENTERTAINERS and they should act as stupid as the rest of the country when not on the field.
