And what was going on in the fed? When I first started watching it was all about Big John Stud, hogan, Macho etc. Even back then Hogan didnt wrestling on the weekly saturday morning show, he would just give interviews. I remember Cindy Lauper and Capot Lou and "saturday nights main event" I remember the Pipers Pit and the Hogan/Andre encounter there. I remember the Brooklyn Brawler almost winning every match he was ever in. I remember Mr T, Don Murroco, and Mr Wondefull.

King Kong Bundy
Bruno Samartino
Iron Shiek
Jimmy Superfly Snuka
and my all time favorite for sheer Rage; the host of The Piper's Pit himself...
Rowdy Roddy Piper.
I don't even know what the division were called then, or if it was just one big thang, but I loved the way Superfly bled.
And Roddy just completely losing it over and over? priceless.

I became a fan shortly before King Kong Bundy ''broke'' Hulk Hogan's ribs with the avalanche when Hogan was defending his belt against Don Muraco.

hogan was running the industry with an iron fist when i first started watching. and i remember the first ppv i saw i witnessed the undertaker defeat hogan for the title. and i hated hogan, he was such a goody two shoes. and taker was a bad ass shoving everyone he beat into body bags! thats why i love taker, and thats why he is my favorite wrestler ever!

Seems to me the first match that sticks out in my mind is a Fall Brawl War Games with Sting/Luger/Savage/Hogan against Kevin Sullivan's Dungeon of Doom... I believe it was Kamala, Meng, Shark and Zodiac. 92 or 93 I think.

Since I'm only seventeen, there's a limited amount as to how much I can remember. The first thing of wrestling I ever remembered is seeing the WWF's first type of recap show on Saturday mornings, I think it was Superstars, but all I remember is Shawn Michaels being thrown through his Heart Break Hotel set window by someone. I thought that wrestling was a cool action show, and I was hooked ever since. I followed HBK until his final days in his prime in the WWF. I stopped watching for a while, only got back to watching it when Triple H won his first WWF Championship on RAW after beating Mankind who won it at SummerSlam.

When Vince McMahon was just an announcer (He was pretty good at it). And also when Jesse "the Body" Ventura was a commentator who told it like it is- (He was the only one that pointed out all the dirty cheap moves/shots Hogan and the other "goody two shoes" did while the other announcers looked the other way).

Hogan already had the belt and Tony Atlas & Rocky Johnson were the tag team champions. Soon after, the Iran Sheik and Nicolia Volcoff had the tag straps and seemed to have kept them for an awfully long time. Piper was raising hell and "Piper's Pit" was just killer. The Junk Yard Dog was AWESOME and he was coming out to "Another one Bites the Dust". Don Morocco and Ricky Steamboat seemed to be feuding a lot and then came the original "Wrestlemania". Vince was just an interviewer and Jesse "The Body" Ventura was still wrestling but mostly was an announcer (color commentator) and in my opinion the best one ever. Gorilla Monsoon usually teamed with Jesse. The managers at the time were Bobby "The Brain" Heanen, Captain "Lou" Albano and "Classy" Freddie Blassie. "The Brain" was maybe the most entertaining and funniest icon I can remember in wrestling. Macho Man was introduced soon after the first few mania's. "Saturday Night Main Event" had just started up as well. Good Times!

He was my and my brother's favorite wrestler for a long time, but only because he was the spitting image of our Uncle Ray. I remember being shocked when someone told me Lanny was Randy Savage's brother.
