I am an avid reader of any type of historical fiction novels about Queen Elizabeth I, Henry VIII, any of his six wives, Queen Mary Tudor (Bloody Mary), Mary Queen of Scots, Lord Darnley, and Robert Dudley.

I have a huge booklist that is a compilation of all these topics.

If anyone has any suggestions or book titles to add to my list, I ask you to please post it here. Thank you!

<marquee>I would take it like a champ for Jim Norton. My step-dad's not mean, he's just adjusting. I'm full of freakiness, so give my kat a kiss.</marquee>

Oh Christ. My Mother LOVES those Elizabethian Era movies on PBS. She has a bunch of videos and just taped on last night. She hasn't read any books to my knowledge though.

How can you stand that uppity English stuff?

Do you like Jane Austen novels or more stuff about the Royal family of that time? I think "Pride and Prejudice" was the best one I read by her. It's also a movie/mini-series and the one A&E did was my favorite version.

I am very much into the life of the royalty (especially Elizabeth and Anne Boleyn), but thank you for the suggestion. I was actually the maid of honor at a Medieval Wedding recently. I am going to use the dress as my Anne Boleyn Halloween costume this year (bloody neck and all). Here is a cheesey picture of me and the girls posing in our dresses, um, as Charlie's Angels (go figure).

And this is ag at the wedding, my not so medieval yet drunk on mead, date:

but see thats what you do at weddings were all you know is your date, and met the bride and groom a month earlier. So you get drunk and it makes it easier to converse with the others there. On top if that its always pressure when the Grooms father keeps asking you why you dont have a drink in your hand.<p>Oh and that has to be THE worst pic of me ever! I cant wait to catch Katylina making some dumb ass pose

Is this where FMJeff got the idea for a "Medieval Times" wedding?

Just wondering.

Not that this has anything to do with anything, but has anyone here ever been to the Cloisters? I was thinking of checking it out.

I've been to Cloisters. Mostly paintings, sculptures and stuff that have to do with religion and medieval period. But they had no Knights, swords or suits of armor there. So I was mildly disaapointed. But it's still a nice place to check out.

Edit: Has anyone been to the Pennsalvania Reinassance Faire? I'm thinking of going there to check it out. Thanks.

I go to the Huntington Renaissance Faire every year on Long Island, but, alas, this was the last year of the festival.

Have you read any of the Beatrice Small novels regarding Skye O'Malley? Great books, very descriptive, and lots of juicy bodice-ripping sex stuff too.

I put Skye O'Malley on my list; I can't believe they don't have it in my public library. I have to interloan along with like a hundred other books.
