Guess what albums/CDs/8-tracks other board members have in their collections. Members fess up and give props for guesses that picked your favorites and for obscure correct hits. Try to type their board names properly so all the really vain and paranoid can find guesses when they search for their own names on the board. Don't cheat and guess the CDs they already posted that they have. And the obvious ones like Pantera owning Pantera - come on - what's the point? Now if you guess that he has the soundtrack to "Boyz in the Hood," well, that's something. So the key here is obscurity. The rules, of course, are meaningless since this thread, like all my threads, will probably sink like a Led Zeppelin - Physical Graphitti - high fly.
Reeshy - Tom Waits - Swordfishtrombones. (Reeshy should be an easy one, but it was his sigs that gave me the idea in the first place. The trick will be to guess his albums that were released after 1975.)
Reeshy - Miles Davis - Bitches Brew
Aggie - Public Enemy - Fear of a Black Planet
Fatty - The Sugar Hill Gang - Rapper's Delight
Captain Rooster - Fuel - Sunburn
Funkman - Al Green - I'm Still in Love With You
Silera - Soundgarden - Down on the Upside
Death_Metal Moe - Metallica - Kill Em All
TheMojoPin - sountrack - "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels"
Mike Teacher - Nazareth - Hair of the Dog
I just know I'm going to suck at my own game.

I'm not going with obvious guesses. These choices can be found deep within the recesses of these folk's CD collections...possibly there without their knowledge...
Alice Fuzzybutt - "The Lexicon of Love" by ABC
Mikeyboy - Soundtrack to the movie "Singles"
The Chairman - "Mariposa d'Oro" by Dave Mason
Reeshy - "Primitive Cool" by Mick Jagger
Aggie - "A Charlie Brown Christmas" by Vince Guaraldi
DeathMetalMoe - "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" by Elton John
MojoPin - "Live at San Quentin" by Johnny Cash
I'm too tired to guess more.

And Mojo...do you have the soundtrack to "So I Married An Axe Murderer" featuring the Las and an incredible cover of the Bay City Rollers "Saturday Night"?
Again, another album I bought used and then sold less than a year later.
I DO, however, still have The La's only album, and it's one of my top 20, so I guess that kinda counts, too.
Alice, do you have any of Lanegan's solo albums? They're absolutely stunning...like the perfect middle ground between Westerberg and Waits...some of the most unfarily ignored albums I've ever heard.
MojoPin: The Specials, The Specials
GIVE THE LADY A CEEEEEE-GAR!!!
That, "More Specials" and the singles collection. One of my favorite bands of all time...I went through my entire sophomore year dressing as a "2 Tone-er". Yay, me.
I bet MojoPin has at least one guilty pleasure of something even remotely metal (hybrids included)
Hmmm, I may disapoint...what are we talking here?

Not all screaming all hair spray all shreiking but something like a Faith No More that was kind of lumped in with the metal scene but also stood as its own entity. I doubt you do but then again, I may be surprised.
Damn, Fuzzy, no Angel.
Not only do I have some Ratt but I have ALL of the Ratt. Even the EP!

Oops. Sorry all. This game would have been a little more fun if I actually read it. For some reason I just kept missing this thread until now. Let us review:
Death_Metal Moe - Metallica - Kill Em All
Got lots of old Metallica but never bought that album. Heard it enough in other people's cars.
DeathMetalMoe - "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" by Elton John
Scary part is I had a best of Elton John album awhile ago. Wonder what happened to it? Crocadile Rock was METAL!!!
DEATH METAL MOE - something SABBATH
Way to go out on a limb, Deek.
I bet Moe has some classical (Mozart or Beethoven) in his collection
Of course. I experimented with some Motzart and other well known classical composers awhie back. I can't listen to it all the time, but it's amazing musically. Not just the music, but the fact that a full orchestra can syncronize itself.
Now for my guesses:
I bet Todd EVF has Unhallowed's 1st CD "PunchFucking Blasphemy."
And I bet Aggie has some Jesus Jones.
I bet Fluffernutter has some Madonna
I bet Mojo owns an album sung by Simpson's Characters. One of them.
I bet Yerdaddy owns at least ONE WWF or WWE soundtrack.
I bet Drudge Jr. owns only Spice Girl's albums.
I bet SatCam owns a copy of CozmoKramer jerking off to himself in the mirror.
I bet FMJeff listens to Biohazard.

Soooorrrry. The answer we were looking for would be "Altered Beast" or "Girlfriend". "100% Fun" came thisclose to joining them but I bought 2 pints instead.
However, I believe that you recently purchased the new album by "The Thorns", the new-indie Crosby Stills & Nash - featuring Matthew Sweet, Shawn Mullin & Pete Droge.
And for the rest of the peanut gallery...

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!
No.
What are you missing would be that Ignite is some good emotionally driven hardcore (NOT EMO) out of Orange County. Good shit. Download anything from Call On My Brothers or Past Our Means.
All I know aboot Rites is they were from DC and one of the first Emo bands but sounded NOTHING like the emo of today. Mojo may be more help than I.

I WILL get this.
Ok im going to close my eyes and yell three bands for Snipe:
New Order
The Jesus and Mary Chain
Billy Idol
Two out of three. I have everything New Order ever did. And I used to have Billy Idol's debut and Rebel Yell on cassette tape, but both have been lost in time.
Guttersnipe-- Dali's Car
*whew* I was beginning to think Fuzzy was lurking in my closet or something. Bzzt. Go fish!
GutterSnipe -
ANYTHING from Einsturzende Neubauten or Laibach
Two of the first, none of the second. Yet. Good job Fluff.
Okay. Fuzz. XTC - Skylarking.
NIN. Something Nena Hagen.
Mojo - The Boo Radleys - either Giant Steps or Wake Up
Fluffer. I have no freaking idea. So I will go with the best selling album of all time. Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon.
Hell, I'm going to go out on a limb and say EVERYBODY has Dark Side of the Moon.

Yerdaddy

YerDaddy-- This is Spinal Tap
No Big Bottom. Soorrrrrryy.
Yerdaddy - "Riptide" by Robert Palmer or
"The Power Station" by who else, Power Station
In 1985 I did buy "The Power Station" on cassette. I haven't seen that cassette since 1986, but that counts. See, Mojo. It's that easy.
I'll bet yerdaddy has Stevie Wonder's "Songs In The Key of Life" AND he looks great in braids.
I have "Original Musiquarium I, Volume II" and I look great in braids.
Chrome Cranks
who? I have the early Priest you called for Fuzzybutt, but I don't know what the hell Chrome Cranks is.
Yerdaddy-- "Fleeting days" dan bern
what the hell? DH - I think you only have to look in your CD case to know what I have.

Apparently she's been holed up in a hotel with this music nerd for the last 2 years trying to write another album. If anyone reads this article, tell me if you think the author is trying to avoid mentioning piles of coke and puddles of smack. Tidal was outstanding and I hope all this angst pays off with another quality album.

*blush* I was wondering when we were going to get around to the guilty pleasures.
Okay, but let me explain... I don't have any idea how the fuck Ace of Base ended up in my collection, because I know I didn't actually buy it. But somehow, someway, it's there. But yes, I admit, I have listened to it.
And the ABBA, well what are you gonna do when all of your friends are gay? You must have some. And it's not my fault when the next morning, after everyone's gone home, that my finger slipped and Dancing Queen comes on and I start doing my best drag queen impression... It's... it's... a compulsion. Or something.

No, good guess though because I ought to. Have some of their stuff on compilations.

Yes Quinn I have got Purple Rain and LOVE IT. Prince is one of those who just blows everything else away at times. Amazing shit.
JWadd, I have never had a single Black Flag album and have only ever heard TV Party and Rollins reading the Black Flag story, Get In The Van. Never heard anything else and I should be smitten. Kind of like how I never listened to those Clash records either.
No Crossroads from Bon Jovi BUT New Jersey and everything previous. I really REALLY need to be smacked.

Close, I have Erasure's Two Ring Circus. It's what I put on when I have to clean the house. Makes me bounce, and then when I'm ready to take a break, If I Could, Spiralling, and My Heart So Blue come on, and then the live stuff picks up when I'm ready to tackle the mess again. Property manager is coming by tomorrow which means I will be listening to it today.
Today's guess for TooCute is something by Enya, either Watermark, Shepard Moons, or both.
Fuzzybutt must have the Throwing Muses debut album.
Also Sinead O'Connor's The Lion and the Cobra.
Mojo has Mezzanine by Massive Attack.
Guilty Pleasure for Yerdaddy: Get Lucky by Loverboy.

Jafter got two on me. I do indeed have Louder than Bombs and Shabooh Shoobah.
grlNIN, I knew I was reaching with the Roxette. I'm still cogitating on your guilty pleasure... I have Rammstein's Sehnsucht, so you get points for that.
And speaking of Rammstein and daughters, you know how most women these days listen to soothing New Age crap during labor? Well, the Holy Man Trent was who got me through my son's birth, and Rammstein was what was playing when I had my daughter.
I only keep Natural Born Killers around for Juliette Lewis' Born Bad, myself.
I only have time for a couple of guesses. NIN, this one's almost too easy, but show me your Tool. I'm guessing you have both Lateralus and Aenima. And I don't know if this would count as a guilty pleasure or not, but Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack.
Jafter, all I have to do is look at my 80s collection and I'll come up with some of your stuff. Hmm... The Cars, self-titled, and perhaps Shake it Up. And UB40's Labour of Love.
