Well I wanted to collect some real info and wait until it was about to open before opening this thread, but youve fucked that plan up nicely. In any case:

After viewing the traior I ge the feeling about 15 minutes will be dedicated to Holmes before that pesky drug addiction comes into play. That blows, its not like another movie about this guy is gonna come out and this one will focus totally on the Murders. Boogie Nights had the right approach, most of the movie was before the trouble but most of the stuff in that movie was not about wadd anyway.
I read that cast and I dont see Laurie Holmes (or Misty Dawn) being in the movie. How do you not have the guys wife??

Now for Mr Holmes. Lets remember what we knew about AIDS in 1986, if you can even remember that year to begin with. At that time people were telling us you couldnt get it through the air or tiolets etc but not everybody believed it. It was also still considered a "gay" disease and many people still believed only fags would get it. In addition the man was very obviously many years into one hell of a drug binge that really never ended for over 10 years. The assumed time was from an extensive article on porn gossip site geneross.com, which sadly (And conveniently) no longer exists. The site now links to avninsider.com, and it doesn't look like his old stuff is archived. So I can't back up my numbers, so take them with a grain of salt.

Basically the estimate came from factoring in when people started getting sick and when he started using these ultimately non-verifiable test results. Essentially they came up with a twelve-month estimate as to when he would have found he had the virus, and given that he hadn't apparently infected anyone else despite being VERY sexual active, it wasn't too much of a longshot to guess a year-long window as to when he probably became HIV positive. The articles also dated and described the test results which were in question, and there were four listed, so that's the number I'm going with. And like I said, it's mostly ASSUMED that at least some or all of the tests were faked given that NONE of them indicated he was infected.

Again, since I can't back things up, I don't expect everyone to take me at 100%.

But then again, why would I lie about this?

How do we know that wasn't just the couple he got caught on? If he did it then, why not again? Why did people around him suspect he was HIV positive (And questioned him about it) when he claims he was clueless about maybe being sick, even though people were already refusing to work with him? Even if he didn't fake those last few Elisa tests, he may have only had those done as opposed to the DNA's once he thought that the virus wouldn't be caught. It's not "my" bullshit. It's what I read. I have no reason or anything to gain by making it up. The site is gone, I can't reference it anymore so I don't expect nor need people to "believe" me. I'm just relating what I had read.

And yeah, Kilmer should be pretty kickass in the movie. I've always liked him as an actor and was kinda sorry to see him get stuck in "shitty movie jail" for almost ten years now. Did you happen to see him in a movie he did like a year or so ago called "The Salton Sea"? He played a meth addict and was pretty fucking fantastic in it.

Ok well i figured out that the movie must end before he meets her, which happens after the trial and he's released from jail. And that pic is of his 15 year old girlfriend, and she was right there with him during the wonderland period of his life so shes the main chick in it. Lisa Kudrow plays his wife at the time (first wife)

I grew up in the Midwest, where I graduated from college with a bachelor's degree and started graduate school. After getting married, I started stripping at a DejaVu to help pay the bills. I immediately loved the attention, especially since I had been pretty much a nerdy wallflower in high school!

I met a lot of porn stars while at DejaVu, most of whom encouraged me to start doing videos. My husband wasn't too thrilled at how much I liked doing videos right from the start, and neither was my graduate school. So I left both of them behind, and moved out to LA.

I was pretty na‹ve, and looking back I wonder if maybe I didn't push hard enough, or market myself enough, but I was having fun at least. I fell in love again, this time to director Rob Black. We almost got married, but he told me I'd have to quit doing porno. He had already limited me to only making videos with him. So once again, I moved on to new things..

I was succeeding in the video business, stripping as dance club feature, and doing magazine layouts in the fall of 1997. I even won Best All-Girl Sex Scene with Jeanna Fine and PJ Sparxx at the AVN Awards in January 1998.

Then, later that week, I found out that I had somehow gotten HIV. I didn't know from who or where, but I was of course devastated. (It was later discovered that it was most likely Marc Wallice who had infected at least 4 or more porn girls.) I had a lot of emotional support from friends and fans, but decided to move home to be close to my family. I stayed in touch with a few good friends back in LA. This included a new friend, John Stagliano.

John and I kept in touch over the next few months and agreed to meet in Chicago. I can't speak for him, but I think after I got over my nervous high-school jitters, we hit it off from the start. (And the sex wasn't too bad either!) Anyway, after a few visits to each other and lots of phone calls, John asked me to move back to California. I did in August 1999, and have been loving it. Currently, I work in the office at Evil Angel on DVD production and sales. I was at the July 1999, January 2000, and July 2000 conventions and was relieved to see all of my old fans again. I love to travel whenever I get the chance.

I still do magazine layouts from time to time, dance at a few clubs around the nation, and in November 1999 I did another hardcore scene, with John for Buttman's Toy Stories. I think it was one of my best scenes ever, partly because the emotions were completely real. The video won Video of the Year from the XRCO awards.

I'm looking forward to directing for the first time with John helping me. In the meantime, I'm learning how to edit video while I'm running the DVD department.

As for my health (since I get a lot of inquiries about that), I feel great (as does John) and see my doctor regularly, who tells me I'm doing terrific. I'm not sure what the future holds, but right now John and I are ultra-busy with our new daughter.

For almost all of 2002, I worked on The Fashionistas, John's new 35mm film. We started pre-production in early 2002, but shooting started late May 2002. The VHS was released in September 2002 and the DVD in January 2003.

Now I'm back at Evil Angel DVD and trying to find time again for my own projects.
