View Full Version : How rampant is lesbianism?

When I worked in a nightclub in the '80s, the waitresses used to say that it was much more common to be grabbed by a woman than a man.
It seems that lesbianism/bisexuality has become more and more common these days, but just how common? What do you think?

depends where you are. from my expiriences, province town on the end of cape cod is the lesbian frisco, but around here(north jersey) it doesnt seem very prevelent.
And i wouldnt use the word rampant, it equaits it to a disease, when it actuallity its usually hot and alot of females on this board seem to enjoy it

I've never been hit on by a girl. :(
That's OK though, I love guys. But I DID have a sex dream about a girl which I thought was very strange, yet still hot. But then again, I see girl on girl action all the time on TV now so it might have just been in my head.
I don't know how many 'true' lesbians there are, but it's A LOT more acceptable to just be 'experimenting' as some say.

A couple of months ago I was bitching & moaning about the sex noises in the apartment above my home. When I found out that it was her boyfriend from Canada, I felt sorry for her, since she doesn't see him that often.
So last week I heard some rumbling going on. I looked outside, but I didn't see the boyfriend's car, so I thought wow, she's fucking some local guy.
The next day my mother asks me if the "crazy girls" woke me up, to which I replied "girls?" The funny thing is that lesbian action didn't even occur to me -instead, when she told me there were definitely two girls up there, I automatically assumed that it must have been some 2 on 1 action with some guy.
Now rumor has it that it was definitely lesbian action. I really want to check out this girl - she's lived here almost 5 months and I've never seen her. My mother told me she looks like Trista from that show the Bachelorette (a Miami Heat cheerleader), so, um, yeah, she must be hot.

I don't think it's more "rampant", it's just that straight women know more about their sexuality then then ever did, and are more likely to discuss it, since they now know that fantasies and even a few experiences do not a lesbo make.

i have girls hit on me all the time and i am sure because of the way i dress people think i am a dyke but its simple as this....i am afraid of pussy.
i think more people are just experimenting then anything right now. i dont see many lesbian couples....well that i notice anyway....around here but when i was in VA a whole army of them was at the bowling alley. but who knows who is and isnt a lesbian. you could have one sitting right next to you and never know the difference, its not like they have DYKE written on their foreheads.

There is a very attractive woman who sits behind me at work who is a known lesbien. To the desk to the left of mine is the most amazingly hot milf the world has ever known. Anyway, today, all the women are coming in with their hair up because of the power failure, and the milf has on this super stunning short skirt and revealing top and we are all talking about our cumulative exploits due to the emergency, and Im watching the lesbien as she talks to the milf and I see, she is checking her out! Looking her up and down her luscious tanned perfect legs, her tits and everything, I was kind of stunned and excited too. I think with women its far easier because they are so much more emotionally open. Its common to see two women dancing in a club, kiss on the cheek and whatever.

There's definitely some lesbian action going on upstairs tonight. Unlike straight sex, you don't hear the rhythmic banging, just a lot of random clunking around and the shower going on & off.
If it wasn't for the blackout, I would have gone to the Mets game tonight, but I can't get there because the subways aren't running. So here I am, listening to the lesbian noises and trying to figure out what's going on.

I know a handful of girls, including my girlfriend, who have all experimented at one time. Some of them surprised me, others I wasn't surprised. But now, it's gotten to the point that it doesn't surprise me at all.

2 things. the thread sayin rampant still makes it look like a gross disease.
and 2, think of all the crazy shit you did from 15 to the end of college, especially with those hormones racing. so a girl happens to be more attracted to females, so what.
I dont blame her, i feel the same way. Its harder for guys to have a view on that cause guys in general are gross, so who wants gayness if your straight. but women are alot more appealing, so they have more chance to be appealing to other women then guys do to other guys i guess

To be honest with you, I used the word rampant because it sounds funny to me. I don't think of it as a disease.
It dawned on me tonight that the thing that bothers me about the girl upstairs is that she's like a fucking ghost. We live in the same house, but I haven't seen her in five months. So basically it spooks me when she goes from being this quiet little invisible church mouse to someone who shakes the house - it's like ghosts having sex in the attic ; that's the best way I can describe it.
Even when she had her boyfriend here, I never heard them laughing or communicating like a normal couple - just the sex. Furthermore, I never hear a phone or TV or radio, just out of the blue - BANG BANG BANG!
If I ever get to know her, perhaps it won't bother me ; maybe one day she will show her face. At this point, she gives me the creeps. I feel like I'm living in a haunted house.

so how come you posted the lesbian thing. whynot just bring that up to start the thread. it would probably be accepted better than equating lesbianism with something running rampent

I like the title "How rampant is lesbianism?" better than "How predominant is lesbianism?" According to Webster's, rampant and predominant are synonyms.
As for why the topic is about lesbianism in general (as opposed to the lesbian in my house), the situation peaked my interest.
It occured to me that if you told me that any girl I have ever known is bi, I would not be shocked and stunned. However, if you told me that some guy I know is bi, I would be surprised to say the least
So basically I observed that lesbianism is prevalent and invited comments. No sinister agenda on my part.

i don't think there are more lesbians, just that it's more socially acceptable for women to experiment than it once was. i think a lot of people have some bisexual tendencies, and now they're more likely to act on those. i've made out with a couple of girls. i've touched some boobs. but i'm straight... basically.
Unlike straight sex, you don't hear the rhythmic bangingi dont know that that's true. i was friends with this lesbian couple in college, and when they were banging each other with a vibrator, it was pretty rhythmic, just like straight sex. it depends what they're up to.
oh, and for the record, there's no negative connotation to the word "rampant."

It is running rampant. At least in highschool it is. Like, it all started freshman year. Girls were like, ok I'm gunna be gay. Even though most are bisexual...and most are ugly...i guess there trying to take what they can get

I was in Smithaven Mall today and Im in JC Pennys and Im by the window looking out into the mall at these girls sitting out on the benches in the middle. I notice that they are all checking out and looking up and down all the hot girls that walk by them. They look them down from head to toe, from front to back. It seems far more than casual checking out their attire for comparitive reasons. What Im wondering is, if a guy saw another guy checking out a guy, right away I think he's a bone smuggler. Why do women feel the need to be so critical and observant of what another women wears and what do they do (or think?) when they catch other women checking out women? Do they think its gay or just taking notes?

The lesbiana upstairs is having traditional heterosexual relations this weekend (hey, everyone needs a change of pace).
She was on the phone late Friday, apparently with some guy...I heard her say real loud "you know I have a boyfriend!" God, I was dying to shout "yeah, and a girlfriend too!"
Not that there's anything wrong with that...as long as I can watch. Otherwise I feel left out.
