1. Kanyon apparently at a dark match before Smackdown wrestled as Mortis, a gimmick he had in the past. It seems his whole Tibetan Monk thing wasn't going anywhere, so why not make him evil. Sounds good to me.

2. The winner of the Elimination Chamber. Due to a leak in the next PPV poster for RAW, it seems that either Goldberg, or Triple H will be walking out with the title, seeing as the poster said they face off for the Heavyweight Championsip. Is this a mistake? Let's pray to God it is.

3. OVW comming to a close (?). Now, I know that it may be a rumor, but it has also been said that the company may move all it's developmental talent to New England. True, false, or do you know the real story?

Mortis could get over if played right


however keep in mind that nobody's done a "worked" kind of gimmick like Mortis since the Ministry of Darkness/Kiss Demon days


it's hard to get guys over with gimmicks that require suspension of disbelief

even when the Hurricane comes out they say "he THINKS he's a superhero"

2. the Elimination Chamber is meaningless to me as it's clearly a ploy to cover the injuries to Goldberg and JPL

though I'm all for giving Orton some rub out of this

3. OVW was a good source of talent but there's been friction between Cornette and Connecticut for a while now

I usually don't like retreads of gimmicks, but in the case of Mortis, I make an exception. Hopefully they'll use the opportunity to get him over and push him.

From reports I have heard, that Mortis was not Chris Kanyon but someone else with more martial arts background. Not really sure.

It was Kanyon, they were just seeing how the crowd would react to the gimmick. They're trying to see what to do with him since they haven't had much success with him as of late.
