Jets vs. Colts - no way game was fixed by the mob

I would say the night the 1-2-3 kid beat Razor Ramon on Monday Night Raw, it was the first jobber (he was jobbing at the time) i ever saw win a match

and one other thing if it wasnt for him getting cancer Jim Valvano would be remembered for being one of the biggest cheaters in all of college basketball and he got NC State put on probation and could find no other job because of his bad rep, then he gets cancer and is made a hero, how cheaply heros come these days

I had a tough time choosing between the Jets upset or Buster beating Tyson.
I went with Buster Douglass beating Mike Tyson. I have it on videotape and it's fun to hear the announcers at the beginning of the fight up till about round 4 or 5 talking about how Douglass has no chance, that he'd do well just to get to the 3rd or 4th round.

The Jets upset shocked the nation more, (my Mom picked it) but I think Douglass overcame greater odds. Before the fight, Vegas stopped giving odds and taking bets on Douglass.

I'm not enough into the hockey to comment, and at the times, I picked the upsets by Vilanova and Dyuke.

How about the Reds beating the A's in the 1990 World Series?

It's always fun until someone gets hurt.....and then it's just hilarious.

The upset was that the Reds SWEPT the A's.

As much as it pains me to say this, I'd have to vote for the 1988 Los Angeles Dodgers. Not only did they get past the Mets but beat Oakland as well. =(

Perhaps you lack the discipline necessary for you to live.

I voted "others" because of Trumbull Connecticut beating those Commies in the Little League World Series and then blacklisting them at the McCarthy hearings. U-S-A! U-S-A!

honorable mention: when that guy from Philly (Rocky Balboa) beat that Commie (Ivan Drago). I saw this documentary called "Rocky IV" that explained that sports moment. U-S-A! U-S-A! McCarthy hearings! McCarthy hearings! U-S-A! U-S-A!

Patriots beating the greatest show on turf was one of the more recent ones. But I voted the 1980 U.S. Hockey Team.

The U.S. whipping Great Britain at the peak of it's power was pretty big.
