Why do Mexican's love tacos?

I admit it, I love tacos, I used to love the soft shell tacos and now I find myself getting crunchy tacos when I go to places like Taco Bell. But what is the deal with Mexican's and tacos anyway? Was and is the concept of breads so insane that traditional Mexicans would never accept it?

Taco Bell is poison compared to that little place on Ferry St. in Newark. I think it's called "Pequeno Mexico". I hate radishes but when they put them on these wonderful tacos, I eat 'em right up.

Burritos and fajitas are usually wrapped in flour tortillas. 'Real' tacos are made in soft corn tortilla shells, however in the US people usually associate "taco" with fried corn tortillas; that's more of a tex-mex thing though...

absolutely true, but i figured since reef and everyone else lives in the US as far as i know, i talked about it as tex mex cause no "type" food places make them traditionally, that goes for most chinese and italian places too.
