They're old, really old, they have to go sometime, just a coincidence they all go around the same time. You should see how many NORMAL people die everyday, now thats crazy.

I got thepoint the first time, no need to repreat it thrice times. ok 57 isnt THAT old, but it certainly isnt young, and cancer plays a big role, people with cancer, god rest there souls, die at younger ages than people without cancer. And bob hope was really old.

My favorite Gregory Hines movie was Running Scared.

http://us.imdb.com/Title?0091875

I just saw on IMDB that he was first choice to play the role Eddie Murphy has in 48 Hours.

It's pretty funny that the three of us all responded at the same time with basically the same response.

He was at his best in "History of the World Part 1". A great actor and dancer, and very funny.

"The jig is up!"

"And gone!"

Priceless. I hate cancer.

I always got him confused with Richard Pryor. And I was never much into tap dancing. In fact, I think tap dancing is the biggest waste of time ever. So, its sad, I guess.

No, the biggest waste of time is trying to have a rational discussion in the Politics Forum.

All of you doubting Thomases can poke fun with it, as you probably would anyway, but Gregory Hines used his celebrity to his advantage in having his way with young, impressionable girls - he was known for this every since his 1975 appearance on Saturday Night Live, it is no secret. It happens to be a coincidence that he is the very next celebrity to die after Bob Hope, another with a sordid past. But it is true. Gregory Hines also had an affair with Joanne Olivier, a blond-haired white woman, which again was public knowledge at the time.

I remember he came into the store I worked at years ago. It was Christmas Eve and he and his son were picking out presents for his wife. They were having a lot of fun with each other. After I rang him up, he shook my hand, thanked me for my help and wished me a Merry Christmas.

He just seemed like such a cool guy.
