Maybe if enough of you have the Network adapter, we could do some sort of Online football league between each other in Madden. It would kick ass, to be beating each other up and then braggin on the board.

I'm getting PS2 later this week, but I won't be online till I learn how to play just a little. But I'm wondering how this online adapter works...do you run it through your computer, or do you need an additional dial-up/cable modem? Please excuse my ignorance.

Nope, no fee after buying the adapter.

The teams are as balanced as the NFL, with roster Upd@tes downloaded to your memory card every couple weeks. Mike Vick is now rated 75 online due to his injury, thats a reall cool feature. I love playing with up-to-date rosters.

How come all the scores I see here are so high? Is it all pass, run and shoot stuff? So offenses are more stronger than defenses? Or is there slow down that causes it to be that way (like you think you have the guy covered and the next thing he's like 20 yards ahead of you).

Depends what team you use. If you use Miami or Tampa your D is gonna be sick, if you use Philly or Atlanta you might get a lot of rushing yards with the QB and so on. It's like the real NFL.

I've used Green Bay my last two games and Green has been my best player.

I use a cable modem and only play people with the same connection. No slowdowns at all.

Is it me, or did this game get WAY harder?! You have be perfect with the kicks of they sail wide, the INTs. and fumbles are insane, and the GIANTS are horrible online! I'm 3-10 ALREADY and the 3 wins were with the RAIDERS, although 4 loses were with them as well, but at least they were close games. The GIANTS games were blow outs!!

Kicking is easy if you use the right team. I'm a pretty good punter. But if the wind is over 8MPH it gets a lot harder.

I don't fumble that much and when I do it's usualy raining out. INT's are good, less garbage bombs this year and when the screen says "USER PICK", oooh baby that feels good.
