Airports: the new mall of Americas

These ain't your parents airports. Has anyone noticed the change in airports now-a-days. The days of just a newstand and airport cafeterias are long gone.

Airport tenants now include: Houlihan's, TGIF, Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, Border's books, the nature store, speciality store for kids, Wilson's leathers, cinnabon, etc.

Has anyone noticed any other stores that are popping up at your local airport. Thanks.

The business term is 'Malls without Walls' and the idea first started with supermarkets. Wow I will sound old, but there was never film developing and flowers and pharmacies in food markets. It was food; then you went to your photo store, etc...

Airports? There's gas stations around selling food, roses, soda, water, DVDs, CDs, gifts, etc...
