I'm excited as hell about the upcoming season for the first time in a very, very long time. I'm a long suffering Bengals fan, and after yet another dismal season last year, I was seriously thinking of giving up on them. After the hiring of Marvin Lewis as head coach, however, I've got renewed enthusiasm.

Sure, I don't expect them to have a winning season in 2003, but I think they're headed in the right direction and it's going to be fun to watch this team come together.

There were about 10 watchable minutes of that game all of which involved a bewilderred Cowboys defense being assraped. Cundiff or whatever had 7 fucking field goals. 7 field goals and no defense being played=bad game.

Well, the Giants and Redskins had a chance to be 2 up on the Eagles, and they both blew it the last two weeks. As well, the Cowboys are even in the loss column. If the Quincy Carter of last week is the real deal, they could take the division.

The Packers suck, and Brett Favre can no longer carry them by himself.

The Seahawks, Panthers, and Bucs are by far the best teams in the NFC right now. The Vikings are borderline for now. They're winning, but they're winning sloppy against bad teams.

so far all i can say is "go figure"...

Miami loses to the Texans and then looks like a Super Bowl contender against the Bills. One of the toughest "smashmouth" football games i've seen so far this year. Granted, Drew blew the game but Jay Fielder played as "big" a game as i have seen. The way he threw the ball to the oustide after the interception showed a great competetive spirit and his ability to QB. Ricky Williams earned a huge amount of respect with over 30 "tough" runs.

i'm still not convinced on the Vikings 'yet', SanFran should give them all they could handle this weekend, especially since SF let one get away from them last week.

I will say this though, todays game wasnt the greatest offensive performance I ever seen(well listened to) but its ok because even the #1 offensive team in the NFL has an off day!

But, outside of next week's game at Detroit, the schedule for the Cowboys is uber brutal. At Tampa, At New England, At Philly, and games vs Miami, Buffalo, and Carolina. Brutal.

7-2 and a 1 1/2 lead over the second place Iggles. Rest of the schedule has them home vs Giants, Dolphins(Thanksgiving game), Eagles and Panthers and away at Washington, New Orleans, and New England(Sunday night game).

I see wins over Giants, Dolphins, Saints, and Skins and losses to Panthers, Patriots, and Eagles. Finish with a 11-5 record and FIRST place in the division. SUPER BOWL HERE WE COME!

I would like to see less Troy Hambrick in these next 7 games and more Adrian Murrell. Also, more shots downfield at Joey Galloway and more throws to Antonio Bryant, the guy has been very underused this season.

Parcells is LUCKY to be getting the 5 TD's Hambrick has. Lucky. Let me give you some Troy Hambrick numbers from some games: 23 att/60 yds, 23 att/59 yds, 18 att/46 yds, 24 att/74 yds, 11 att/25 yds, 13 att/33 yds. And despite his 5 td's he's fumbled 4 times.

The inconsistency of the Dallas Cowboys offense strikes again.

A fine defensive game(since when is 12 points, 2 sacks, and a forced fumble a bad game?) but the evil that is the inconsistency of the Cowboys offense rears its ugly head in Gillette Stadium tonight. Another repulsive game by Troy Hambrick(will Parcells EVER give up on this guy?) and 2 picks thrown by Carter(will he EVER just throw a ball away?).

And poo on the New York Giants for losing and letting the Eagles catch up to the Cowboys. With this Cowboy loss theyre now tied for first with a team that was once 2-3 earlier this year.

There's still a lot of football to play, so I'm not gonna let the Cowboys playoff chances die just yet. But they better pick up that offense if they want to impress anybody.

Oh, and how bout them Bengals? Damn, man, who wouldve thought.

Since this thread has basically turned into my own personal Dallas Cowboys thread, i'll mention how they just smacked those Carolina bitches up.

Quincy Carter had a nice game: 29-44 for 254, 2 TD's, 1 INT.

The Cowboys defense made Stephen Davis look like a tiny, tiny man. Holding him to 59 yds on 26 att's. Plus a Roy Willaims INT that lead to a TD.

This is precisely why I love seeing the Cowboys throw the ball and not give it to that sack of yard-losing, ball-fumbling Troy Hambrick. Who, shall I mention, only ran for 26 yds on 12 att's.

Now it's time to prepare for the yearly Thanksgiving game. This year, home against Miami. Which is definetly a winnable game.
