When I use to smoke the stuff it was with a clear glass bong that looked like a piece of lab equipment. Last time I smoked was 1990! :)

I have not smoked in a recent while. However, why are papers evil? I always preferred the drag from a cigarette-style instrument, it just felt better going down.

I never quite enjoyed a pipe as much. A bong is great, but too cumbersome, impractical, and unwieldy to use regularly or casually (say, in a car). But they do provide the smoothest smoke.

As far as cigars, I never was instructed on how to properly and efficiently prepare them. If it is as easy as you say, I wish I would have had someone to show me how. But I do think I should first learn how to make a decent flashy sig first.

Gots to go with the 16 inch TM. It's the most efficient way to go, plus cooling the smoke is easier on your throat, plus you filter out some of the tar.
Somewhere else I passed along this tip recently: Put jest a little water in a coupla ice trays so you can put them in the freezer leaning up at an angle, thus making triangle-shaped ice cubes that fit beautifully around the stem.
Put the small ones in first with about an inch of water and always have a coupla full-sized cubes in there to help keep the little ones from melting so fast.
You can guage how much ice to put in by remembering my "half ice" rule. With the ice and a little water, look at the distance from the water to the mark indicating how far to fill. Let's say it's 3 inches. That means that you can fill the bong with ice 3 inches OVER the mark.
When the mark is half way between the water level and the top of the ice, you've got it just right.
Breaking the smoke into tinier bubbles makes for a more efficient high (I forget why, something I saw in High Times back in the 70s), plus the more smoke passing over the ice, the more cooling effect you get.

its far more of a smoother smoke, papers are so harsh. blunt paper burns far slower than joints. everyone ive ever smoked with agrees that a dutch tatstes better than any other way t osmoke. and your statement about top level chronic only needing papers or pipes its not true in my case. bowl get me really twisted but not for long, i sober up in a half hour. and ive smoked silver haze and northern lights in a fat joint and it didnt get me high. i put that same amount of regs in a blunt and ill get high.
