This episode of the original STAR TREK tv series is fucking awesome. It is classic. It is one of the fun episodes they did.

I was always a Trek geek I have to admit. The only thing beside the occasional RAW episode I catch on the new TNN are the constant Stark Trek: The Next Generation episodes they run.

But TV was getting GAY so I popped in "The Trouble with Tribbles." Oh man! Mr. Spock! Loosen up!

YES!!!!!! Bar fight scene! Go Scotty go! Kick some Klingon ass!

Great episode...I own all the episodes on VHS but they really need to do something better with the DVD editions before I convert to them...like make a box set and add more more features or something.

I'd say my top 5 original Star Treks are:

1. Devil in the Dark
(The one with the Horta that tunnels and lays the eggs, Spock mind melds with it and McCoy's line "I'm a doctor not a bricklayer."

2. City on the Edge of Forever
(Joan Collins as Edith Keeler where they travel back in time, this episode has a great plot, with excellent dramatic and comedic elements.)

3. Balance of Terror
Kirk and company fuck up Romulans, great action episode.

4. Amok Time
Spock gets horny.

5. This Side of Paradise
The spores...

That's a pretty good list of episodes.

I always like the pilot episodes that was later put into the trial of Spock episdoes. (Sorry, I don't know episode names)

I thought the ones with that Mudd guy were always OK, but a little dopey. People always bring them up but I was never a huge fan of them.

Now was "This side of Paradise" the one where they all went crazy and hippie on the planet and adandoned the Enterprise, or is that the one with the disease that made the people shower with their clothes on? Because the latter episode I talked about was the shiznit too! The idea was so good the reused the idea in Star Trek NG.

Did you see that DS9 episode where they time traveled into the Trouble with Tribbles episode?

And Worf was asked to explain why the Kligon's looked different back then, and he was embarrased, then that one hot chick who the Captain calls "Old Man" had the hots for McCoy.

Man, you know you're way out of ideas for a show when you "time travel" into good episodes...

I never liked DS9 Sofaking. Sorry. But you're right. If they went back to a good episode for an idea, it ususally means the writers got lazy that day.

Remember clip shows?

I never saw that DS 9 episode, what was Worfs explanation as to why Klingons looked different? Just curious. Remember that one with the city on the cloud and the Troglites? It was like a segregated society with workers below and high class literally abone, ala HG Wells? That was kinda cool, I remember getting nightmares as a little kid with that guy that fell off the side and fell way down to the planets surface. They had some good shit. It probably sparked my interest in science and astronomy. I remember being in 6th grade and I use to watch it religiously on channel 11 and back then I used a "Star Trek" as a measurment of time!(1 hour) I loved the time travel ones. The one where they had to take this airforce guy on board because he saw the Enterprise and then later had to go further back in time to Dr0p him off before he saw them was great. I recall thinking at that time, if a ship as big as that were in orbit, wouldnt it be easily visible to people on the ground? I bet it would! When they visited primitive worlds, wouldnt a ground observer be totally freaked out seeing this huge thing in the sky at night?? And I wish they had more situations where they encountered (in the original series) races that didnt speak English and they had to use the universal translater!?

Geek alert!!

sr71, it was one of the best things about that DS9 episode. The DS9 guys are sitting at a table in the bar and some of the Klingons walk by. They look at the Klingons, then at Worf. Bashir might stutter a little in trying to ask, but Worf just glares and says something like, "it is a private matter. We do not discuss it with outsiders." :)

Amok Time - the coolest fight music EVER!!!

I liked the original ST episode where they pick up the hippie-types out space hitchhiking or something, who somehow hijack the ship and go to this garden of eden-type planet, but die when they chomp on the fruit of some tree growing there.

I also like the one where they catch Kirk and strap him to a dentist chair and brainwash him with a light that goes in a spiral pattern or something; kinda like what they did to Michael Caine in The Ipcress File.

Yeah, High Fly, that episode "Dagger of the Mind" had one of the hottest scenes with Kirk and that chick. For a preadolescent, it was good porn.

Let's not forget "Space Seed", the original Wrath of Khan.

One of the earliest episodes, maybe the first aired, had Kirk going after his friend with a phaser rifle. Now that was the s***. Never saw another rifle until the Borg movie.

God, I'm an uber geek.
