Okay, maybe not DIRECTLY into the sun 'cuz that'll just make you blind, but if you look up into the sky on a sunny day you sneeze. It just happens. It's automatic. It's great for those times you really feel a sneeze coming on but you just can't get it out. Just look up toward the sun and your problem is solved. I even remember seeing an episode of "Pete & Pete" that mentioned this phenomenon. How the hell does this work?

I suffer from something similar. When I unexpectedly run into my first wife, I start to hyperventilate!!!!

when the intial contact of sunlight on the tearduct in the corner of the eye occurs, it begins to have a drying affect on the tearduct which causes tickling of the nerve sensors in the nostril, sometimes in turn causing a sneeze...

AHHH! I just made that up.

Bless You...

Hey Funk,
You had me sold!! you should have left off the disclaimer so I could have told all my friends at work why you sneeze when you look at the sun and I could have been the most popular guy at the water cooler-Damn!!!!!

I hate it when Im driving towards the sun and I start sneezing, its always happend that this happend at the same exact time that some jackass in front of me will do something that requires my concentration and there is a bend in the road and debris in my lane and pot holes and Im sneezing and fumbling around blinded looking for a tissue and trying to control the car.
Its what I call a "cluster fuck".

did you ever have to sneeze right after you took a big bite of something and you have your mouth full... if i can't delay the sneeze then i'll try to get as control of the food as i can, open my mouth as little as possible and sneeze...
