View Full Version : I need a date for KISS/Aerosmith

This is skidmark sanctioned.

(What's that? "Any board member that will be my date has to get "approved" by you?" NEIN!!! Screw you buddy!! You nixed it from the get-go and you forfeit any rights!!!)

Ahem! :)

Yes, I understand skid is a purest. I am too, but it's Bruce Kulick!!! And Eric Carr was a FAR better drummer in HEART and SOUL and TALENT than Peter Criss ever was! Unfortunatley, he's dead.

SuperClerk? Hello?

So, I need a "date" (like the platonic, beer-drinking buddy sort of "date.")

If all else fails, I'll just go with skid's drummer.

Bruce Kulick? I thought he was still doing his stint in union and his other projects. As far as I can remember, Tommy Thayer is "Ace" now as the real Ace is at home recovering from a fall down some stairs.

Even though I still love the music KISS gave me, I can't justify going to see them ever again.

Especially with Aerosmith who should have never come back in the first place. Am I the only one who wants to give Steven Tyler and Joe Perry a whole shitload of good coke, lock them in a room for two months and tell them to write and record some stuff?

KISS died for me back on their FIRST reunion tour. I saw them 9th row and all was good in the world. I just couldn't bear to see them again without laughing and doing my Gene impersonation.

If you are stuck in a pickle Fuzzy, and no one else can go, let me know.

Kindest Regards, Your Fluff

Yes, I was called out on the Thayer thang.

My bad!

Thanks fluff! But the first reunion tour was PHENOMENAL! The 3-D tour was just GREEDY (Ugh! Gene Simmons!!!) not to mention AWFUL!!! Well, I did dig the Paul Stanley acrobatics during "Love Gun."

I'm FULLY prepared for what I pay for!

*ps-- Fluff, you're "skidmark" approved! Oh like I care!!! ;)*

No matter how much KISS disgusts me, I would still love to see Paul Stanley on his solo tour when it comes around next year after his solo album comes out. He always had the best fucking voice. That first solo album of his was just great and still beats out the Ace solo every now and again.

On a side metal note, the singer for iced Earth, Matthew Barlow sounds so much like Paul Stanley it isn't even funny. He hits these Paul spots and then like a Bruce Dickinson spot in his voice too. Truly amazing as far as metal singers go.

Fluff rocks!

Ok, I admit, I didn't hear all the dirt on the KISS/Aerosmith tour, so I was wrong about Bruce Kulick. My bad!

Yeah, I suck. Bite me.

I want to go. And I will pay for my guest.

(And as skid stumbled to the bathroom, I told him Fluff was in the lead as my "date." He mumbled something incoherant, but on his way back he KISSed me. I think that's a good sign!) :)

Edit: I always thought Paul Stanley (speaking) sounded like Tony Curtis.

Alice,

I've never seen either one of these classic bands live, so I'd be happy to accompany you, my friend!
Sounds like fun!
Consider my hat tossed in the ring.

-hoping for that valuable Skidmark stamp of approval...

Alice,
I've not yet had the opportunity to meet anyone from the board, and this seems like a perfect chance. Not only would I accompany you, I'd drive, and the night is on me. Maybe if you reported back as to what a gentleman I was, I wouldn't get so much abuse here. Especially from GrLNiN ;)

Anywho, if you are interested, I can even show you a pic online. Dr0p me an email at Scoot1796@aol.com

Edit*
By the way, I've seen em both, loved em both, and am 27 years old if that helps

I'll bring the greens if you'd like.....

Please don't hold my huge nutbag against me, or I'll hold it against you that you have flapjack tits

I thought about it and how cool would it be if Vinnie Vincent were to play instead of Tommy Thayer? VVI killed over Black N Blue back in the day and plus Vinnie had way cooler make-up. I'll don the Vinnie make-up for the evening.

http://www.bluemag.com/images/vinmakup.jpg

Last I heard, I heard he wasn't "Vinnie" anymore? Kind of like how Mark Free from King Kobra is now "Marcie" Free. Talk about life imitating art.

How weird...I just had a dream about a week ago where I was forced to see Aerosmith live, again and again...

Have a blast my dear!

If it's the Jones Beach show I could probably get you moved up to the front row. Maybe get in back too. I know some people. I can't go since I can't walk, but it's the thought that counts.

Thank you very much for the offer Alice, but I am actually already going to the show at Jones Beach on 8/6. If this is the one you are going to, I would love to meet up with you and say hi. Please let me know.

CRAP!

I wanted to go to the PNC Arts Center show on 8/11.

Sold out.

Sorry guys!

But I'm glad to see there are a lot of KISS fans out there!

Gene Simmons is greedy. They'll be another tour.

I would not pay 1000.00 to see anyone not even the Beatles reunion tour. Even if they dug up John Lennon and George Harrison and did the "Weekend at Bernie's" tour.

Radio Psychic -- Ron and Fez top 3 by the end of 2003.

Price Per Ticket - $1000. ......includes a set of real guitar picks.

Free guitar picks ?? Shit, put me down for 4 tickets there Gene, you greedy bastard. Throw in a roll of KISS toilet paper and I'll buy the whole front row.

Old school KISS rocks, this modern day version with the "we hope people don't notice that's not Ace, but an imposter wearing his make-up" version of the band sucks big time.

Not to mention the Alive IV commercial I saw during HBBall the other night showing Gene ALOT, Paul ALOT and Peter ALOT and the Symphony ALOT and LOOK, there is a guy in Ace makeup for a SPLIT SECOND. Just give him a new fucking character. At least save yourselves a little bit of dignity by doing that.

I am hoping they don't go with the "Menudo" franchise like was mentioned a few months back.
