here's a question about NES: what's the fastest that you've beaten Super Mario Bros.? A friend of mine downloaded video of the world record or someone that came close to the world record and it only took that guy 16 minutes or so. The fastest i can do it is in about 25.

I still play Super Mario Bros, and the fastest I can beat it is about 20 minutes. I can beat it without dieing and with 10 lives. If I were to skip all the extra crap, I might be able to beat it faster.

Talking about Super Mario Bros., are you talking the entire game or warping? With warping I can do it in about 15-20

Gotta go with Nintendo 8 bit man. Classic. It got my love affair with games going. I had an Atari 7800, but you couldn't develop a real love of a game with it, or any story lines. As soon as you removed the cartridge, that was it. Those games were meant to be beaten in a few minutes of to have no real end. Or to go on forever like Space Invaders.

As for the Neterboards in SMB, I remember a lot of talk about that, but never got to see them. I thought it was that one of the ends of a board had a high platform that you could run off of and completely bypass the flagpole. Either that or it had something to do with an underwater board. I HATED those boards.

Does any one remember Nintendo's Virtual Boy? It was this headset device you had to look through. It was suppose to be 3D, but it was real shitty. And the only color was a lazer like red. I think it ended up causing headaches. Anyway, I remember thinking that it was a piece of shit when I played it at Incredible Universe.

I hear you. I got the Sega Converter, the CD, and the NOMAD. Did I learn from my past mistakes?...No, cuz I got the Dreamcast. Say it...say it....FUCK U SEGA.

Haven't bought a new system yet. I borrow my friend's PS2 when they let me. Heh..heh... but I think they're catching up to me cuz when I borrow it, they usually don't get it back for a month or 2. Heck I even bought some games for it. The next time they lend the PS2 to me, I'm going to lay low for 3 months. Speaking of which, I think I'll call them to see if I could "Borrow" it this weekend cuz they're going to Cali for a few days.

Ha, they got you on the 32x. I went to toys 'r' us one day and saw it behind the glass with a $100+ price tag, a couple of months later they had a pallet on the floor with a $20 price tag. I'm one of the few who got F'd on 3D0.

Sega produced game systems quicker without testing them or getting the licenses for additional games. They also made much more money selling systems then games.

Nintendo waited for the games to be lined up with the system the best it could be before it was released...

Finally the public realized that Sega Sucks and now they only make games for other systems...something that they wouldn't have dreamed of before.

Genesis was a good system...the only good system.
