any career ideas?

please help - I am lost in a decision on what to do with my life - i work in Telecom. and I am a writing major from hofstra - any ideas for careers where i will be able to support my family and not live in this little gray cubicle!? - i am an officer in the national guard too (that's actually very fun)

You said that you were a writing major LtRooster, so why not begin work on that? Maybe write a book or something in your free time, so that when it hits big, you can quit and focus on writing full time...that's my plan anyway.

Doggy - you hit it right. i need to grow some balls and start writing. I just bought ON WRITING by Stephen King. Maybe that will assuage my fears. I really believe I could put some good work together if...if I could just pull myself away from posting all day.

I would also consider becoming an English teacher
