Game Boy Advance isn't really a "console". It's portable. It should have always outsold PS2, It's cheaper.

Yeah, why not! The newst GBA, SP, is great. I bought one for my little brother and it's basically like having super nintendo (ok, a little better than super nintendo) in the palm of your hands.

I'm not surprised at all. I play my GBA like everyday. I have a Gamecube and I don't think I've touched the thing in months.

The GBA is cool. It's portable and they keep releasing old SNES and older games for it.

I can understand buying GBA as your first gameboy, but it's just pethetic how my friends have almost every game boy. It's just a waste of money. Nintendo puts out a new gameboy everytime they make a tiny improvement.
I'd much rather buy a Sony handheld gameplayer, although I anticipate it to be expensive. Also, PS2 and all the other consoles can last you a lifetime with a variation of games, but buying a new gameboy doesnt change the games you play. So there's no point to buy buy buy everytime there's a new gameboy.

There IS a point to it. Maybe not from Gameboy to Gameboy Color, but the difference from either system to the GBA dramatically different. The games and graphics are amazing compared to the original, plus they play pretty much all original Gameboy games that I know of.

I feel ya SatCam. The GB Color move was stupid, and I didn't buy one.

They DID try to FUCK us all by making the Color games NOT be supported by the old GB or the pocket GB. Faggots. I wouldn't have been able to play my Dragon Warrior 3 game if I didn't have the GBA.

But as reef said, the difference between old GB or even GB Color and the new GBA is night and day. I mean I guess it's only as good as a portable SNES, but that's saying a lot as far as portable games goes. I am glad I have one.

I do think that if you dont own a gameboy, or own the original gameboy, it is an investment to buy Gameboy Advanced. Game Boy Advanced SP is great for all time of day, since is has a backlight. It also has a couple of more features, and fits comfortably in your pocket.
