As if this week wasn't bad enough already..

First of all on Monday, my Grandfather went in for major surgery on an artery in his neck, which from said surgery he got complications, and now his heart rate is all messed up and he can't swallow or eat anything because the doctors messed up some nerves in his throat. The poor guy's been in the hospital since Monday...

Now today, I learn my Mom has a tumor on her breast and it could be cancerous...she's going in for tests next week..

I don't really know how i feel right now. I don't know if its shock or what, but maybe its just fear. I guess you never think anyone in your family will get a tumor or have cancer until it happens. All I can do is pray for her..and my grandfather..

What an awful week...i'm glad its almost over...

Sorry to hear that El Mudo. My grandmother was in the hospital for a blocked artery in her neck recently too. Luckily for her everything went smoothly.

I hope your family members are OK. Stay positive.

It might take you a few days to start to deal with all the emotions. Those are 2 serious things to learn in 1 week. Give yourself some time to digest it all. Keep on top of it, but try not to let it consure your thoughts too much. Thinking about things you can't control too much is very counter productive. I know it's hard to do that, but try.

Here's an Upd@te...

My grandfather came home Friday, he's gonna be okay i think, but he has to eat baby food or have his food mashed up really small for a while. I talked to him yesterday, and he sounded okay, except his voice gave away at some points..

I'm worried about my Mom still, she has tests next Tuesday and Friday I believe, and yesterday she accidentally left her ATM card at the store and just went to pieces. It also doesn't help that her birthday is next week too...

But I would like to thank each and every one of you that wrote and expressed concern from the bottom of my heart. It really means a lot to have some people to talk to, even if its on an internet message board.
