This is not about actual wrestling as I know with all you guys you will pick Vengeance with Brock, Angle, Benoit, Guerrero, Kidman, Mysterio.

I am talking about the hype for the event. Let's look at the 4 main events of each show going into the PPV.

Raw:
HHH vs Kevin nash. They made it a Hell in the Cell match. They brought back one of the most beloved wrestlers in the WWE in Mick Foley to referee. They limited Nash's screen time and brought interest to the angle showing the hate between HHH and Mick Foley.

Smackdown:
Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle vs Big Show
-They have Big show win many of the matches. You have the ambiguously gay duo of Kurt and Brock doing pushup contests. There has been zero heat at all between Brock and Angle. No one cares about Big Show even though he has picked up his game.

Raw:
Shawn Michaels vs Ric Flair
-These 2 cut amazing promos on each other and let it all hang out and the respect they had for each other.

Smackdown:
Vince Mcmahon vs Zach Gowen
-Vince makes himself the main point of the show and devotes at least 2 or 3 segments at the least to his feud with Zach Gowen. And what Vince is doing to Zach does not even give him heel heat, it gives him Xpac heat.

Raw:
Booker T vs Christian.
-Hyped this match for over a month. Did a good job of building heat between these 2.

SMackdown:
Benoit vs Guerrero
-Have feuded and worked together before. Everyone knows it will be match of the night. However up until tonight nothing at all has happened between these 2. And who is the fan favorite since Latino Heat gets mostly cheers.

Raw:
Goldberg vs Chris Jericho
-Jericho did an amazing job of bringing back his feud with Goldberg that never happened from WCW. He did not get speared until the PPV even though Goldberg speared everyone else whenever he tried. This feud was built up perfectly.

Smackdown:
Sable vs Stephanie
-Nuff said. Unless they are naked, I would rather watch Xpac's greatest hits.

The only thing that surprises me as far as the lack of hype is the fact that Vince McMahon is wrestling. I figured that he would hype up his match with Zach Gowen. Normally, Vince would hype up any match that he is involved in to great heights.

It's always fun until someone gets hurt.....and then it's just hilarious.

that and stephanie's match are the only ones being hyped. I see it on tv and hear it on the radio and vince takes up half the show.

Hype wise, RAW did a much better job, o doubt about it. I still think that over time both brands will be hyping their brand PPV's a lot better, but I still just can't wait for the Eddie vs Benoit match, for which I'm going for Eddie to win to lead the new mid-carders of Smackdown.

WWE did a better job of selling Vengeance than Badd Blood. Doesn't necessarilly mean it lived up to the hype though.
