that would be true if bev hills cop 1 and 2 were godfather 1 and 2. they are all just decent movies, and i actually find them all equal, but since 3 is another sequel, its gets bonus for not being as bad as it should.

And I'd say the Two Towers wasn't in the league of the first film.

My $elections are Empire as well, Army of Darkness for the Evil Dead series (your favorite here will depend on your humour and likes), Mallrats for the Jay and Silent Bob movies (after this, the cameos and acting went over the top so to speak), and I'd have to add Wicked Sex Party III (simply the best in the series with a great story......none).

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was actually a sequal to 4 movies at one time.(Mostly "Chasing Amy" because of the whole Comic book based on them "plot" but also a sequel to Clerks and Mallrats and even Dogma (God shows up for a second)) but those movies weren't sequels themselves.

Back to the Future part II better than Back to the Future? No way, and BTTF3 was better than 2 anyway. but #1 was best.
