They usually went like this:

(Picture a hot humid sunny day)

Kid1: "It's sure is hot out here!"

Kid2: "Yeah, I wish I had something cool to drink."

Fade to solid brickwall...

Bam!!! Brickwall breaks and its the Kool-aid Man! (A big pitcher of red Kool-aid) who hands the kids a cool glass of Kool-Aid.

Kids: "Thanks Kool-aid Man".

I remember when I used to go to the supermarket with my dad I would get the kool-aid jar and take of the kool-aid points to mail in to get stuff.

Also, Atari 2600 had a Kool-aid game that I got thru the mail. It was pretty cool. (Anyone remember the game?)

i BARELY remember the Kool-aid man before he was a computer animated character. It was a LONG time ago. I will agree that they seemed to push their Kool-aid points prize program a lot more back then.

I never got Kool-aid as a kid because my mother thought sugar made me hyper. Dumb ass.

And I certianly don't remember the Atari game. I'd do an Ebay search but I have no interest.

not too much! but it reminds me about a time:

when i was about 7 or so i was in the pennycandy store and they had kool-Aid packets for what i believe was a penny or nickel apiece. i was so excited and bought 25 or 50 packets(makes me think they were a penny, maybe 2 cents) when i got them home my Mom made me aware that alot of sugar needed to be added because they were just flavoring(small packets)

I WAS CRUSHED AND FELT LIKE I BEEN HAD...

Kinda reminds me of the old Hawaiian punch commercials. "How would like a nice Hawaiian Punch". Pooowwww.

When we were kids it was Kool - aid, Hawaiian Punch, or HI-C for drinks.

Fezzie was talking about how you would punch one hole to pour from and 2 for the air to go in.

Now these kids have these fucking juice boxes or capri sun.

I had a friend who worked in a supermarket. He used to cover the bar codes with a Kool Aid pack when he was checking stuff out. I would get all my grocries for the cost of fifty packs of Kool Aid.

The jingle was:

"Cool Aid Cool Aid tastes great!
Wish we had some today!" (or something, I'm unsure of the word, "today").

there was also the big Cool Aid dancing pitcher. You'd save your used Cool Aid packs and send in, like 500 of them and they'd send you one of those pitchers that held about a pint.
I think you could also save up, like 100 packs and send them in and get a free pack.
It was from kids eating the Cool Aid right out of the pack that the idea for Pixie Stix arose, I believe.

" and they ask me why I drink"
