The adult gumball machines for adults. Does anyone really win buying their scratch-offs from these machines? I see them popping up everywhere now. If a minor gets caught buying a scratch-off from the machine can they be arrested or prosecuted for gambling? And are most of the funds that the lotteries are collecting REALLY going to education like they say it's going to or is it going to someone's pocket?

There was an article in the paper in regards to the increase in the number of youngsters gambling and at an earlier age. And they wonder why?

And the hyprocrisy of politicians that say "Gambling is wrong", yet you see various politicians "Gambling" with other politicians when one of their sport's teams makes it to the championship. Also that LOTTERIES are beneficial to the state for supporting education and the state still increase ways to get more people to buy lottos (am/pm draws).

Well that's all for now, I'm off to the Racetrack to place some bets. Wish me luck.

to me these scratchoffs are just another way to suck money out of the middle and lower class...

i know Bill Gates is behind this, i just haven't figured out how yet...

yet!

for the few scratchoffs that i've bought in my life, i might as well have lit my money on fire...

If someone wins already that day, you can still buy a ticket, and obviously, you lost. That's what sucks about it being an "instant win" game.

The few times I bought scratch off games I bought those Bingo ones. Whether or not you win on the card is still pre-determined, but at least it takes awhile to play.

I work in Spanish Harlem. Everyday I see the poorest looking people with their quarter in their hand scratching, scratching, scratching those damn little cards. Every single day- and then they have the nerve to complain about how little they get in their welfare check. I stand there and just listen and shake my head!!!

Death Metal Moe- you bought bingo scratch off cards? I thought you said you don't gamble (in some of your earlier post). But you never know all it takes is a $1 and a dream. Welcome to the club man! Good luck!

You are right mdr55 about that. I think I was talking about casinos more, but scratch off are gambling.

I did enjoy the occasional Bingo scratch off back a few years. Like I said, I only got those because they occupied me for a few minutes instead of just 3 scratches and that's it.

I'm addicted to those things. I won $1500 once, but I usually get only a dollar or two. I pretty much break even.

I play these things alot, mostly out of boredom. Plus it's always fun when you win. The most I ever won on any one ticket was $100 which happened several times. I used to keep track of how much I won and lost but I gave up.
