For me it was between 1991-1995. Alot of great bands like Pearl Jam Nirvana, Alice and Chains burst upon the scene. It was the end of glam rock and hair bands. The whole grunge era was not about image but of kick ass music. Too bad the rock/rap thing came in, and now wanna be punk bands like good charlotte and simple plan who are nothing but cookie cutter top 40 groups

Whenever the Make-Believe Ballroom was on the radio, we knew it was party time.

Intros are cool. I also like refrains & choruses. I am a big fan of the break-down & build-up. Drum solos rule. And don't forget the coda.

I can find beautiful music from anytime in the last 80 years, right up until this very minute.
Anyone else just isn't even trying.

Your absolutely right but I think that the best shows were at the Pyramid, I never really enjoyed CBGB's
and I'll go up to '94 so we can get Long Island involved with Mind over Matter, Neglect, Loyal to None, etc. at The Angle in Mineola.

Probably the late 60's through the 70's. Right up until Disco hit.
I can't imagine how cool it would be to go to the store and buy shit like Black Sabbath, Led Zepellin and other greats BRAND NEW! Shit no one had heard before!
It was an exciting time in music. And it was the birth of all the influencs for Metal. I'd love to go back and see the Fathers of Modern Metal at work.

1980-1997. music today has its moments, but they're usually short, sporadic and drowned out by crappy hip-hop.

1995 was the biggest time in music for me because Rancid was hitting the big time, and if i'm not mistaken this is when AFI started out, which I was fortunate enough to see in the East Bay. This would also be around when Sick of It All's Scratch the Surface came out, which still stands as one of absolute favorite albums.
