Warning regarding UPS uniforms

I got this in email this morning at work, does anyone know if this is a hoax or not? Jus curious...

Government regarding purchase of UPS uniforms: BE ALERT!!!!

There has been a huge purchase, $32,000 worth, of United Parcel Service
(UPS) uniforms on eBay over the last 30 days. This could represent a
serious
threat as bogus drivers can Dr0p off anything to anyone with deadly
consequences! If you have ANY questions when a UPS driver appears at your
door, they should be able to furnish VALID I.D.. Additionally, if someone
in
a UPS uniform comes to make a Dr0p off or pick up, make absolutely sure
they
are driving a UPS truck. UPS doesn't make deliveries or pickups in anything
except a company vehicle. If you have a problem, IMMEDIATELY call your
local
law enforcement agency right away!

TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!

Make people aware so that we can prepare and/or avoid terrorist attacks on
our people! Thank you for your time in reviewing this and PLEASE send to
EVERYONE on your list, even if they are friend or foe. We should all be
aware!

I also couldn't find Kimberly Bush-Carr in the DHS database, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything, BCBP is a new branch. But It makes no sense for them to be involved. It should be either FBI or BICE.

Sure, these stories are hoaxes but you can never be too careful. A year or two ago someone kept ringing the buzzer to all the apartments. Normally I would ignore it, but it seemed important, I went down stairs and saw a guy standing there. He said he was from PSE&G and he had to read the meter. He wasn't wearing a PSE&G shirt, nor did he have any ID. I also didn't see a truck. When I asked him where his ID was he stammered and said he left it home today. I told him to come back tomorrow, I wasn't going to let some guy with no credentials into my apartment building. Especially since I was the only one home!

And, yes, I do check my backseat for knife-wielding maniacs! :)
