Which one did you like the best that he produced?

I almost didn't realize how much I liked Bruckheimer's work. Enemy of the State was a great movie...Beverly Hills Cop is an alltime classic...but I voted for The Rock because I never pass it on the tv without stopping & watching it the rest of the way through. The first time I saw it, it immediately went right to just about the top of my movie list.

I feel that Black Hawk Down and Crimson Tide are his best in regards to story and acting. But for pure mindless entertainment I gotta go with Armageddeon.

This is the Earth, at a time when the dinosaurs ruled a lush and fertile planet.
A piece of rock just 6 miles wide changed all that.
It hit with the force of 10,000 nuclear weapons. A trillion tons of rock and dust were thrown into the atmosphere, creating a cloud the sun was powerless to penetrate for a thousand years. It happened before. It will happen again. It's just a question of when.

Beverly Hills Cop, 1, because its the only movie I saw on that list. And 2, not alot beats 1980's Eddie Murphy.

It was a close call between Beverly Hills Cop and Black Hawk Down. Back in the day Eddie was king, and his '80s stuff holds up pretty well. But I went with Black Hawk Down because it really did justice to a true war story - something that is all too rare. The rest of the list is mostly crap.

fun to watch? mainstream hollywood movies may be fun to watch for the mainstream, but anyone who knows anything about quality filmmaking can't stand bruckheimer. and yes it is possible to make a film that is both quality and fun to watch, he just doesn't know how to do this.

and making over 100 million automatically makes a movie good? i just thought it meant that the idiot movie going public was convinced by all their entertainment tonight shows that they should go see it.

yerdaddy nailed it with his post though, those are the only two good movies, the others are awful.

I'm always entertained by "Crimson Tide" (Hackman and Denzel AND Tony Soprano? NICE) and "The Rock".

"Beverly Hills Cop" I watch basically everytime it's on HBO...so essentially 14 times a day.

"Black Hawk Down" was impressive.

The rest can go to hell and then hopefully down into a hole and go into an even more badder hell.

Bay and Bruckheimer deserve to be murdered by the zombie of Don Simpson for "Pearl Harbor".

Beverly Hills COp was great. Top Gun never saw. Crimson Tide was a great movie. I enjoyed the Rock. COn Air was so so. Even though Armegeddon had a stupid plot, I liked all the action. Enemy of the State was a great movie and interesting concept. Remember the titans was ok.

Pearl Harbor was tghe movie I wa smost looking forward to. It had the best movie trailer ever and the movie sucked. The 45 minutes of bombing was good but the rest was awful.

I loved Black hawk Down, one of my favorite movies.

People say that all the time, but I must be missing something. I'm a sucker for spectacular battle scenes in shitty war films. I LOATHE "Saving Private Ryan", but will watch it again and again for its depiction of combat, and because Spielberg shot the whole thing so beautifully.

The "Pearl Harbor" attack looked awful. It was just as cartoony as these "Star Wars" movies coming out these days. And how the HELL do you have a war film rated PG-13?

How do you turn one of our nation's biggest tragedies and one that finally put us in WOrld War 2 into a love story. I was never more dissapointed in a movie than Pearl harbor. I had the best of hopes for this movie. The trailer was perfect. Damn ben Affleck. Damn him to hell.

Pearl Harbor BLEW, the battle scene was fairly good, but nothing as good as Saving Private Ryan, the whole normandy scene is AMAZING. I dont even remember seeing any men with bullet holes in them in pearl harbor, wasnt it pg-13. The whole love story sucked as much as your mother and the entire storyline was just bad as well. He took an awesome part of history and fucked with it, WRONG. Besides that my favorite movie up there would be black hawk down or remember the titans which was very good considering im not very big on football.

All I have to say about Eddie Murphy in the 80s can be summed up in Coming to America (Where is the Spoon?) and Trading Places.

Am I the only one who cannot watch "Beverly Hills Cop" anymore? The movie still holds up, but the soundtrack is SO dated that it's distracting! That damn "Axel F" every 5 minutes!
If they release a version where you can turn the music off, I may consider it.

Take it easy Clarky

Best Defense

Touche. #64 on the IMDB Bottom 100 list. I'll assume that Eddie hadn't learned about working with actors after they jumped the shark. Then again, that's not the only rule about jumping the shark that Eddie didn't learn.

but the soundtrack is SO dated that it's distracting! That damn "Axel F" every 5 minutes!
That's so fucking true! It's funny to hear it at first, but then it just becomes Chinese water torture. Fuck! Now I hate old-school Eddie Murphie!
