Chris Berman ruins the contest for me. I'm already dreading his first "it's back, back, back, back, back GONE" call. its good on the occasional sportcenter, but after 20 homeruns and 10 similar calls it bothers me.
I read something on ESPN today which i think would be a good idea...let them use Aluminum bats. that to me would make it more fun to watch. i would love to see how far they could hit the balls with them. same article had an idea about a running(around the bases) and throwing(from OF to home) contest also. Here is the article if interested.

I agree. Berman gets so friggin' annoying. He is good on Baseball tonight when he does his schtick. But it gets very old during the derby.

By the way, what would've happened if Dusty Baker went on to manage an American League team? The managers of the World Series go on to manage their leagues in the All Star game. So where would Dusty manage?

Super clerk, dusty would be given assitant coach of the AL to the guy from the angels, and whoever lost to the giants in the NLCS, their manager would manage the NL. the assistant thing is just like a token cause he cant manage the NL. thats the rule last i heard though its never happened before

Well Giambis out. What a performance though. 12 in the first, 11 in the 2nd round, including 6 straight with 8 outs. Almost history right there.

Chris Berman is the Willard Scott of sportscasting. He ruins the NFL Pre-Game show on ESPN as well. He is more concerned with making up stupid nicknames than being informative and entertaining.
He stinks and I don't like him.

Giambi leads AL to a win. I just hope he carries this swing into the real games, man he's on fire.
