Did anyone else watch this show last night on MTV? It was a roast type show with Carson Daley being made fun of by his friends and various celebrities. Highlight of the show was someone coming out dressed up as Tara Reid drunk off of her ass and in a wedding dress.

It's carson daly (not that it matters or anybody cares).
I saw a bit of it and it was pretty ok.
I really cringe at a roast because you never know if a joke will go too far or a joke will just fall flat.

The problem with bash is that non-comedic celebrities and musicians can't take the non-stop belittlement that is thrown at them. Hell, Carson had to comment after everything that was said to him. And the celebs in the audience looked embarrassed to be made fun of half of the time. This show should never happen again. Why is MTV celebrating Carson Daly? What has he contributed to life in general that would bestow him such an honor? Let's leave the roasting to the professionals and keep it on Comedy Central. This has been my fezitorial. Thank you.
(I know, it's a rant, not a fezitorial, but I felt like adding that anyway.)
I've got nothing...

The comics were good, especially Jeffrey Ross and Sarah Silverman. The rest was rather cringe worthy. And despite the presence of Carson Daly, and Nick Lachey, Fred Durst still managed to be the biggest schmo in the room.

The rest was rather cringe worthy.i only saw some of it, but this was basically my assessment. there's a reason why those other people are in music or acting, and not comedy. ugh. i thought maybe the jennifer love hewit part would be kind of entertaining, but it just wasn't. her hand was shaking holding the stupid paper she was reading off of. and then at the end, she says how being his girlfriend was such a great experience, and they hug. i was waiting for some joke to come out of it, but i don't think it ever did (that's around when i turned it off). pathetic.
