I waas at my moms house about a year ago and I found a bunch of old Star Wars glasses that Burger King put out like 25 years ago or so. There were a few others one from the Empire Strikes Back and one Star Trek glass. Of course my younger brother said they were his but I gave him the Trek one because it was the only one younger than him. I was just wonde ring if anyone collected these things or has any of them laying around still. I'm trying to put a set together to go with our china.

My family has a few of these. I think they're from the early 80's. I drink milk out of them.

Yes they are also a great way to get your daily recommended allowance of calcium.

Master, if those are in good condition, they are worth some money.
I remember my dad was collecting the glasses from "The Great Muppet Caper" for my brother and I. He finally got the last one, which was Miss Piggy on a motorcycle. My brother, my dad, and I were so happy. Then a week later, my dad broke it while washing it.

Any one remember NFL glasses you'd get at the gas station? They were short, round and had an NFL team logo on them. We had The Jets and The Giants.
We had McDonald's glasses. I remember we had the Hamburglar, Mayor McCheese, Grimace, Ronald McDonald, (we ate McDonald's quite a bit in the 70s!) and Captain Crook.

Yeah, they gave those out at the Mobil station by my house.
And I have a bunch of the Star Wars and Empire glasses in the basement. They're not really worth a lot of money, but fairly collectable.
Jenn's mom still uses a bunch of Camp Snoopy ones on a regular basis. Of course, every time we go to eat there, I get the one Empire glass. :)

Yeah. Too bad the "Ricardo Montalburrito" never really caught on.
Too cheesy, I bet.

Go on ebay to finish your collection.
There are 4 glasses for each Star Wars Movie.

Welch's still make those jelly jars. It was Pokemon and Jimmy Neutron. At least those are the ones my son is collecting. Now it is Dragon Tales
You get lunch and a drinking glass all in one. How cool is that!?
I am, and always will be,in a state of sulky dissatisfaction.

Weren't those Mcdonaldland glasses rumored to have been made with lead paint, and it was dangerous to drink from them?
Maybe it was just an urban legend.

Captain Crook.
God I forgot all about Captain Crook. He was the Filet of Fish guy. Remember when all of those characters first came out. When was that the early 70's. Yes kids before they had happy meals, mcnuggets, breakfast, and salads.
Basically it was hamburgers, cheeseburgers, filet of fish, Big Macs, quarter pounders, fries, sodas, and shakes.
Since this is a Burger King post -- Remember the big rivalry between which was bigger the Big Mac or the Whopper?
Radio Psychic -- Ron and Fez top 3 by the end of 2003.

I forgot -- we have those too! They're a little faded now though.

And when they came in earth-unfriendly styrofoam boxes! God, I remember when Big Macs were 50 cents!
OK -- who had birthday parties at McDonald's where they gave you the paper hats to wear?

Better question: Who still wears the Burger King crowns?
