You probably noticed the Heel Section was no longer in attendance... and probably never again. I know one of the Heel Section members myself so I am extra pissed.
Here is what they said on heelsection.com:
[quote]Why I won't be back...
I want to preface this by saying that my comments here are in no way directed at Bob Ryder. Bob has always been very good to us and treated us with respect. I apologize to him if actions last week came off as a slap in the face because the Heelsection has nothing but respect for him. Having said that....
I will not be at TNA this week. Not next week. I'm not saying that I won't ever be back. I love wrestling, and I love seeing it live. But TNA has ceased to be fun for me right now. I don't approve of a few things that they are doing. I don't care for the attitudes of some of their employees. I don't feel like they deserve my money right now. These are my options as a fan and a consumer.
I do want to address a few things. Ever since I made it clear that I didn't want to go this week, I have heard nothing but negative things from people that work in the TNA office. Let me share a few of them with you:
"Who will miss you?"
Well, I would think that TNA would miss me and our group. We help to get the crowd into the show every week. I would think if nothing else, you would miss our money. Sad but true.
"The Heel Section is just a bunch of freakin' marks who put themselves over at the expense of the talent."
Ridiculous. First of all, everyone involved in the wrestling business is a mark. If you don't think so, you are delusional. Why did you get in to the business in the first place? Did you see an ad in the paper and fill out an application for a job? No. You watched it, you loved it and you had to do it. You went and trained (some of you) and stuck with it and you did it all because you love it. Now, as far as us putting ourselves over, where do you guys come up with this stuff? I expect it from people on the internet because a lot of them are jealous because we're doing something that they couldn't. Look, when I go to the show, I'm putting TNA over. When I start a website about a group of fans at a TNA show, I'm putting TNA over. When someone writes something about the Heel Section on another website, 9 times out of 10 they call us the TNA Heel Section. How is it that I put myself over? I cheer for who I want, always have. This didn't start with TNA. I've been a wrestling fan for 25 years. I've always pretty much liked the heels. It's hard not to when you grow up watching the greatest wrestler of all time, Ric Flair, who is pretty much always a heel. And what is it I supposedly get for "putting myself over"? Nothing. Not from TNA at least. And I do this at the expense of the talent??? Check me if I'm wrong, but if your talent can't get over because of a bunch of "freakin' marks," then maybe we aren't the problem.
"You're just in it for yourselves."
Wow. If I'm just in it for me, why don't I use free tickets? Why do I pay every week? Why did I stand outside of the GEC after Smackdown and hand out TNA tickets in the cold without being asked? Why do I defend TNA on other websites? Why have I always supported it on our website? Why do I promote the show by putting up flyers and free tickets in my place of employment? Why did I offer to start a street team or help them with the ticket office, for free? Why do I do these things? For me? What did I get from it? I've been told that they give me TNA in return. Well, I see it differently. I pay for TNA every week. I have never ever gotten in for free. They GIVE me nothing.
Here's the deal. If we are just a bunch of marks who nobody is going to miss, then don't worry about it. I don't know why you are concerned enough to even make these comments. One of you even said that I was dragging TNA's name through the mud. Let me state again, I love TNA. I love the Chicago Cubs too. But if the Cubs management told me that I basically didn't matter and that they didn't want me to cheer for the Cubs, I would stop watching th
