The music industry looks like they mean business according to this article.

Poor kid. This is absolutely ridiculous. Luckily, the courts brought it down to $15K, but the kid obviously didnt profit from his actions...he was sharing! Poor little record industry didnt get to rip off some college kids with over-inflated prices on crappy cd's.

Ouch, tough break.

I guess they had to "make an example out of somebody". Stupid music industry.

Fuck the music industry. I can't believe they ruined this kids life. I won't stop downloading until they stop filling the mainstream music world with crap. Start producing quality bands and music and maybe I'll consider spending some of my hard earned money on cd's again. Oh and CD's are a rip off anyways. The artists barely get a share of it and big record companies reak the benefits of artists hard work. The quality music i look for comes right from the bands i listen to anyways. So they can block and shut down what ever they want. When i want my music i always find it and there is nothing they can do to stop it. They won't be getting my money anytime soon.
