I enjoy both, but prefer the raw energy of NIRVANA over the more mellow and sounds of FOO FIGHTERS.

Foo Fighters (a refrence to the term used by WWII pilots to describe UFO's) is a much cooler name than Nirvana.

Hands down, FOO FIGHTERS. For many reasons. Dave can write and has wrote songs just as good as Kurt. Dave is a ridiculous drummer. I doubt Kurt could play drums anywhere near that of Dave. Dave does'nt have that little whiny, self-tortured, i-dont-wanna-be-a-rockstar bullshit thing goin'on. Anyone who has seen Dave on the DENNIS MILLER SHOW know what i'm talking about. As far as dave/foo's not being punk: Grohl was drumming some serrious hardcore in the mid 80's BEFORE kurt was holding a guitar. SCREAM is one of punk rocks greatest bands, He was touring with bands like bad brains & black flag before it was "cool" to be punk.. As far as kurt dying to let dave shine: " the reason kurt was a star was because of dave.." admit it, nirvana pre-grohl sucked...( great songs but shitty drummer) ...the end...wheres the bong...

Know what, Circus Boy? Maybe I just have a really short attention span. I'm not alone on this board in that regard, however. Ever notice how almost every thread winds up being about something completely different than the original topic? Like the game of telephone when we were kids. This thread actually started as a Foo Fighters vs. Nirvana discussion, and here we are arguing about Pink Floyd. Ya gotta love it.
