Negro Casas & Shocker: Next Week on TNA!

This is great news for those familiar with Mexican wrestling... Negro Casas is a legend and Shocker is perceived as one of the best wrestlers in the world. I think this is a great marketing ploy to get an increase in buyrates especially with the Latino community (already added a Spanish announce team with Konnan and Armando Quintero).

Casas and Shocker are set to be involved in a No. 1 Contender for the X-Division Title. Should be an awesome display of athleticism and another great X-Division Match.

I have a question, are many of you marks familiar with these two wrestlers? Because admittedly, I know very little about them. But I am still excited nevertheless.

I've heard that Shocker is very good, as he's in his apex. Casas is very up in years, his best matches were in the 80's. I don't know what else to tell you as I don't have a deep background of info on these 2.

Shocker is fantastic. Casas is pretty much just there as respect for a legend in lucha libre.

They'd best try and work out some sort of deal with Shocker, because he has the looks and talent to be BIG in the company, and for that matter, across the board. If nothing else, he'll draw in the young male Hispanic audience.

This makes me wonder if Konnan is working behinds the scenes again to try and bring in more lucha talent. I certainly hope so.

Couple this with the fact that TNA is working to establish a working relationship with puro leagues such as World Japan, and it spells VERY good news for NWA.

Negro Casas and Shocker will not be appearing on the July 9 broadcast of NWA-TNA: Total Nonstop Action.

TNA had previously announced that the two Mexican stars would be appearing but complications arose that were unable to be resolved.

After having agreed to appear on the program TNA was informed that Shocker had a conflict that would prevent him from honoring the agreement.

In place of the match they were to be involved in will be a six man X Division match involving Frankie Kazarian, Matt Sydal, Derek Wylde, Showtime Eric Young, Matt Stryker, and Kid Romeo. Kazarian must win this match to get a shot at Chris Sabin's X Division Title.This is sooo fucked up but this replacement match could be pretty good! Who doesn't love Mr. Unibrow Matt Stryker?

Why isn't CM Punk in this match?

He's great! I have him as a solid midcard - future upper midcarder in my NWA EWR fed.I know. He did pretty awesome in that 6 Man Match alongside Kazarian, Delirious, Romeo, Altar Boy Luke and Sydel.
