Unlucky lottery, or sucks to be Vince?

From 1wrestling.com:

just got a call from Mike Johnson, who is at the Smackdown taping in NY. He informed me that after an angle with Vince McMahon and Zach Gowen, Vince was mocking Zach by walking around with his cane in the ring. Vince then threw the cane and it accidentally hit a girl in the front row. The girl was struck in the face and was upset and crying. Vince went over to check on her after they went to a break and eventually her and her boyfriend were taken to the back.

Other reports say that fans at MSG were chanting "Lawsuit" as the girl was being led away from ringside.

wow. . . lets start a new chant

Vince fucked up!
Vince fucked up!
Vince fucked up!

this will probably lead to a lawsuit, unless he struck a deal in the back

How cool would it be if there was a lawsuit that made the WWF crumble and there was mass resignations from former WCW/ECW guys and then WCW started over again and there was Monday night wars and then the nWo took over WCW and everything was coool again.

How about she was taken to the back where they gave her medical attention and quickly bribed her so she couldn't sue.

Since Smackdown was at MSG, I bet or he should have gave her Wrestlemania XX tickets and got to meet and greet all the WWE superstars. He probably paid for all medical costs too.

I was there. Vince was walking around like a gimp using the cane in the ring and flung it up the aisle towards Zack. I think it caught the rope, switched it's path and hit the girl. They showed Vince talking to the girl on his way from the ring and she didn't look in that bad shape. I think she was taking to the back as an act of good faith and got some free tix and merchandise and everything will be fine.

If that girl had any brains, she would have fell to the floor, punched herself in the nose, making sure it broke and than sat back and wated for the cash to flow in.

maybe she is not a scumbag looking to make a quick buck. It was an accident and I am sure the WWE will definitely take care of her.

I smell lawsuit and a big stinky check for this fan, unless the wwe puts a declaimer on the ticket protecting them from these kind of situation

Hell, that's an opportunity not to be wasted. I'd sue too.

are there any people in this world, who don't think sue as the first, 2nd, and 3rd option, especially if it was an accident. I am positive the WWE took good care of her.

The most Iwould hope for is to be brought backstage, checked by first aid, meet some wrestlers, watch Torrie shower, and get some really good seats for WMXX.

That and give Torrie a rubdown. And a happy ending from stephanie since vince pimps out his daughter.

You've just been smacked in the face by a cane... why punish yourself even more? ;p

Come on Peachy, To be ringside at MSG for my first Wrestlemania? That would be cool even if the main event was Taker and Nash wrestling in a pool of quicksand.

I was at a supposedly ''huge'' WrestleMania... please don't make me mentally re-live that nightmare. :(

You were at Mania 9?

And if they offered the girl any form of compensation backstage and she accepted it, she can't sue. Legally, she accepted restitution and cannot sue for more.

I was there too (section103 row D) saw it from a distance and Vince I don't think expect the came to fly like that (then again, why would you throw a cane that hard is beyond me), but all I saw was Vince walk over to the girl, say something, then walk back....thensome security came out to escort the two into the back
