Tiki Night Food

My volunteer fire department is going to be running a Tiki Night very soon and they are trying to come up with some ideas for food to serve there. Most of the unoriginal asses can only come up with hot dogs and hamburgers, but I wanna come up with something a lil more exotic. Anybody with suggestion would be welcome...

I already came up with the idea of shishkee bobs, but I am coming up short on the rest

my dad just had a luau
and we live by the tiki at my house.. so here are my suggestions

ham with pinapples (sounds funny but its good as hell)
sweet and sour chicken
a light salad with tangerines
grilled vegetables
rice

umm thats all i can think of right now

might i suggest a roast pig, its quite an investment but it feeds an army. u can have a catering company do it sorta cheap.

Failing that, you can always serve spam. Hawaii's got the #1 per capita consumption if it.

anyway, think fish & citrus, pork & citrus... anytihng & citrus or pineapple really. You can get a good citrus salsa at Trader Joes.

Kebabs are always a fave, just throw som pineapple chunks on the the skewers and voila, polynesian. Do it with shrimp and its even better. Fried rice with pineapple.

we have a metal fire pit, a full tiki hut, a LEAKi tiki to piss in and a NO PEEKI tiki to change in... you have to see it to believe it really...
