I've actually heard somewhere that cuba is like 1 big car show with all the classic cars from the 50's that are still being used as everyday cars.

My dad had a '64 Chevrolet Bel Air. He drove to work everyday. That puppy lasted 20 years!

I have to go with the '60's. The '20's and 30's lacked the technology to make them reliable. The'40s had the technology, but a lack of materials due to WWII. The '50's were mostly form over function, they looked good, but ran like shit. The'60's had style, power, and reliability. Many innovations came about during the sixties. The '70's had the oil embargo and force companies to make more efficient cars. They tried many ways to do this, none worked and the cars sucked. The '80's were over run with greed and too many corners were cut to make a profit. The '90's to now are probably the best built. They are reliable, efficient, and safe, but they all look the same and are ugly as sin.

Duke, isn't there some kind of rule that you can't start a post about cars until you're old enough to drive? ;)

The 60's cars, for sure. My friend had a 66 Chevy Bel Aire and it had like 300,000 miles on it and ran like a top! It had a straight six and when he opened the hood, there was so much space between the engine and the fenders you could practially stand in the engine compartment! Once they started cramming so much technology and wires under the hood, car's became less reliabe and easy to self service. Though I have a 92 Camry with 280,000 miles on it and have used synthetic oil since day one, along with additives and change it every 3,000 miles. Every time I have it inspected, the guy wants to buy it because it has like zero emissions.

The only good thing to come out of the '80's was the Grand National.
