Deniro gets props tomorrow on U.S.A

Tomorrow being Monday, is A tribute to Deniro.
Casino at 3 , then Meet the Parents followed by some lifetime acheivment/tribute deal at 9pm.

I for one will be watching as much as humanly possible and i suggest you do to if you know whats good for you.

Hate to say it but DeNiro has jumped the shark in my opinion. Too much mediocre work (Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, Showtime, 15 Minutes, Men Of Honor) crammed into the last few years. It seems lately that he has a movie coming out every week and they're not all that memorable.

He is still a great actor, though maybe he should take a year or so off and come back after actually reading and evaluating some of the scripts that he is offered instead of just the numbers on the paycheck.

Casino was good. Meet the Parents was ok.. but of all the great DeNiro pics, why these two? There's at least 10 others I'd place ahead of those.. hmm..
I forgot it's USA network, those were the only movies they owned.
But thanks informing.. I'd like to see that lifetime achievement/tribute deal.

Agreed.. But I still have faith in ole Bobby D, he hasn't reached his peak yet! He's just found himself in what seems to be a 10 yr rut.. after what he's given us he's entitled to have a bad decade.

De Niro has starred in some of my favorite movies of all time: Godfather Part II, Once Upon a Time in America, Casino, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull etc.

It's true he's had a bunch of bad movies in the last 5 years, but he's still the best actor of our time.

Watching Casino currently. Watched it last night too, even if I do have it on tape. I hate This hag Sharon Stone even more everytime I watch this.

yea with movies like Deer Hunter, Taxi Driver, Awakanings, Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Mean Streets etc, it's easy to say his most recent movies arent as good as his older ones. Not many movies are better then these to begin with. You expect him to make more movies that are better then these? Is it even possible to make superior movies? Casino and Heat are both grade A shit but even they look weak compared to the older stuff.
