forgot this, the first time i ever heard about the "gay rapper," was in the april edition of thrasher magazine sometime in the late '90s. in the music blurbs section they featured the gay rapper, with an "april fools" follow up the next month when all the little skaters wrote in with their disdain.

please tell me someone remembers this or some how can find a link.

Well I went to the link and saw his picture.

He looks pretty gay....

Now what I want to say is this: great for all the courageous gays in entertainment, etc. who have been "first" to come out of the closet... But you know what's more courageous..coming out "second."

I mean, after the first person comes out in your profession, sure they take heat, but they also get book deals, calls to be on Larry King, and paid lots of money to be a "motivational speaker."

As the "Second [Person] to come out of the closet in [insert profession here]" what's left for you?

I mean, who can tell me the "Second Female sit com star to come out of the closet." And most important...who cares?

I say the clock is ticking for Charles Oakley, Ricky Martin, Keanu Reeves, Jason Williams, Kordell Stewart, Jodi Foster, Tom Cruise, Whitney Houston, Kevin Spacey, Queen Latifah, John Travolta, et. al. to start talking to PR consultants. This "hip to be gay/bi" thing ain't gonna last forever.

And just remember: just cause some of these folks are married or have boyfriends/girlfriends means shit.

My prediction: Within a few years it's going to be hip to be married with two children, a house with a white picket fence, and a Golden Retriever. Soap Operas and TV dramas will be introducing the new controversial "white heterosexual, deeply religious character" and female tennis players will bring back the "Chris Everett" look.
