Stupid things you did with fireworks as a kid

With the 4 th of July around the corner it makes me think of all the assinign things we did with fire works. Its a freakin miralce I stil got all my digits.
Bottle rocket wars were my favorite. Sometimes we'd chase each other on skateboards and shoot them at each other. Or we'd just out of nowhere throw a pack of lady fingers a t someone when they weren't paying attention. The worst thing that ever happened was when a pack of jumping jacks went off in my hand(those suckers shoot out a lot of flames.. This is just some of the things I can recalll.

My friend and I would take "pineapples" and put them lit inside a USA Today box. It would blow up and the box would get destroyed! My cousin dropped a lit M-80 down the school toilet and flushed it. The flood closed the school for a few days. Another cousin was arrested for throwing a lut mat of firecrackers in a mail box. Two of my friends use to have Roman Candle fights, shooting them at each other. One got a huge hole burned in his shirt.

I'm figuring i was 9 or 10 and the Good Humor truck pulled up to the corner. I lit and tossed a firecracker and it went right in, i remember seeing the guy begin to duck. I couldn't believe it went in because i was standing a good distance away. I got scared shit and ran around the corner and hid behind a garage.

I always took apart the packs of firecrackers and put a cat food can on top of one and lit it. The can would launch and make a cool noise. The best part was that you could do it about twelve times with one pack of firecrackers.

Wow, that really doesn't sound like fun at all. What was I thinking?

Let this be a lesson to you kiddies out there:
When I was 17, I tried to throw a lit firecracker out the window of my truck. It blew back in, and I spent the entire summer before my senior year of high school recovering from 3rd degree burns and skin grafts.

Now THAT was stupid.

I didn't do it but when I was nine, this kid blew off his finger with a firecracker on the 4th of July. The cops and the ambulance were called and everything. For about an hour, my friends and I went around the neighborhood looking for the missing finger. We didn't find it but the cops did. That night was fun. Well, maybe not for that kid...

Ahh....the 4th of July...That joyous time when i held a Roman Candle between my teeth and shot fire from my mouth to impress the little kiddies....If only i hadnt made the mistake and looked up.

When sparks shoot up, they come back down...in your face.

With several people in college, busted into a friend's room with roman candles blazing. Funny as hell seeing him jump about five feet off the bed, then tried to kick everyone's ass for about an hour.

Once lit a bottle rocket, forgot to blow out the match. As I watched the one go up I accidentally lit the rest of the package. Sent everyone scurrying as rockets went off in every direction.
