Any one who grew up in the tri-state area in the 70's has got to remember this. This is where I saw PLANET OF THE APES for the first time. Only problem is it would take like 5 days to watch PLANET OF THE APES and BENEATH THE PLANET OF THE APES because it ran for til 6 o'clock and was loaded with commercials.

I used to love the Edgar Allan Poe weeks when the movies would star Vincent Price. They were great just before dinner. And now we have Dr Phil and Oprah yeeesh

I used to love the 4:30 movie now most of those movies are gone never to be seen again.

I wish one of the cable networks would pick up on some of those old movies. Hell AMC has gone to hell in a hand basket they could pick it up and maybe renew it's audience.

Yeah these were the best. I think initially it was the 4:30 movie and they moved it to 4:00 or vice versa.
I liked Godzilla week, animal week ( like with Empire of The Ants & Food Of The Gods ) and the Edgard Allen Poe stuff.
I remember the introduction was like some theme and it showed a guy filming a movie. Killer.
