View Full Version : Gettin in Shape for the Summer?
DC Reed

So ive decided my get in shape naturally for the summer program is gonna require I sprint a quarter mile. So that means the old trusty treadmill will be put back in use (are you kidding me? running outside? with all that heat?)
If only my treadmill wasnt so small, i could run at full speed and full stride without having to worry about slipping on the roller. and i dont want another pussy ass injury to explain to everyone.
Anyone else trying to get in shape, or you just gonna let it all hang out?

I plan on drinking more beer so I can be in shape for those hot summer days when you need to drink plenty of liquids to keep hydrated.

I've needed to start a regular exercise routine for awhile now (just because of my god awful eating habits). It's funny you posted this today cuz me and my boyfriend are starting our workouts today. If you don't hear from me in a few days, don't worry, I'll probably die from collapsed lungs.

I've started rollerblading more again, but mostly for the sake of
my dog who needs the exercise desperately. I put her on diet
food and that's stopped the weight gainn, but she isn't losing
any,... she gaine about 20-25 lb over the past year. that's a lot
for a dog who was about 50 lb to begin with.

My suggestion? Put the rollerblades on the dog and have another margarita.

Back in the winter I had started doing 200 sit-ups and 100 pushups every night. After two weeks I was like "forget this" and now I've decided that in the summer I'll be outside more and it will be much easier for me to just casually lose weight.
It will probably end up that I lose weight to make me look skinnier then I am now(or so people say) at the very end of the summer then gain it all back during the winter and go through this process all over again.

i have a pound and a half of genoa salami sitting in front of me that i am eating by the slice like an animal. Later i may make some bacon. In august my stomach will be having over my waistline like an avalanche ready to fall. I'm so happy i'm already married and have absolutely NOBODY to impress.

I feel the summer is meant for relaxation.
Unfortunatly, I am trying to get somewhat into shape for going to the water park at Kings Dominion. Im not really fat, my stomach just looks like an old mans belly: really flabby.
