I urge you to check out this radio show if you like that crazy rock 'n roll music all the teenagers are talking about.

In New York, 104.3 WAXQ Sunday @ 10

In D.C., 94.7 WARW Sunday @ 10

Also, so there is no confusion, when I say "10", I'm referring to 10 O'CLOCK.

Good music + good humor + insights into rock history = more gooderer.

You won't be disappointed.

"I want you to go tonight; I want you to talk to this movie bigshot, and settle this business for Johnny. Now, if there's nothing else, I'd like to go to my daughter's wedding."

i love this show...the q isnt that bad anymore as a station...now if they could only find a decent morning show (cough cough O&A), of course it would be too much to ask for AFRO to make a comeback on good ol' 1043, wouldnt it?

"now if alec baldwin was in the store it would be a big deal"
lets go mets!!!

Oh, WOW! I didn't know this was syndicated here in DC! I caught it a couple times online and it was a great, GREAT show. Thanks!

Good stuff -- Beck/Page Yardbirds music!

For those interested in the genre, check out the new issue of Mojo magazine (with Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones on the cover). There's a good article on garage/early punk and a free CD!

That new Mojo CD is fantastic. Best of all, it highlights THE best garage/punk band of all time, The MC5...

As a reminder, you might want to listen to this show tonight.

If you don't, I'll call you a knucklehead behind your back.

Specifically: If I meet you and you tell me that you're not interested in Little Steven's Underground Garage, I'll just laugh it off and say something like, "well, to each his own."

But remember, two seconds later I'll be telling someone you're a knucklehead.

"Never tell anybody outside the family what you're thinking again."

I listen to this at work every week. My partner and I try and identify the movies/characters from the clips he plays between songs. Very cool.

I liked Zeppelin until I heard the MIGHTY MC5!

My Zep records have dust now.

Anyway, this is an awesome show. My one friend is such a hardcore late 60's garage nut and he listens to a lot of this stuff. Little Steven is such a great host as well. I need to find reasons to be in the car for the show though. My reception in the house sucks.

Kindest Regards, Your Fluff

My partner and I...

It takes a lot of guts to come out of the closet Chris, we're all behind you 100% (especially Alkey).

Hmm, do they play any music not made 100 years ago?

If not, I think I'll pass. I loathe 60s music.
