Obviously this is quite a few years off till it happens. And frankly as a Red Sox fan I dont care if he does go in as a Yankee. After all the crap he's said about our team when in fact it should have been directed to Dan Duquette only, he should have nothing to do with us if he doesnt want to. He still will get booed in Boston when he comes here.

I wouldn't want to go into the hall of fame as a loser either.

why can't they go in just as a Hall Of Fame Player Of Baseball" all the teams he played on should be mentioned... this going in as a Yankee, Blue Jay, or Red Sock is secondary to his accomplishments as a baseball player or pitcher...

Well, he'd be a good pitcher on any team but different teams offered him different oportunities.

The Yankess almost always do well, so he had a better chance to win a World Series with them.

Playing for the Red Sox taught him to be humble.

And playing for the Blue Jays reminded him how great it is to be a US citizen.

Thats funny cause he's an arrogent bastard. Whenever he gets beat loud the next day inevitably he'll come out saying that he was injured and how he's all macho cause he pitched.

It's up to the HOF committee. And they will put him in as a Red Sock. As well they should.

can the Sox fans remind us of what Clemens said when the was abandoned by duquette? honestly, duquette's the biggest culprit. he turned Clemens and the city on each other, but both mutually hated him.

he SHOULD go in in a boston cap, but had he signed with the Yankees in '97 like George wanted, then its a different story. then we may have talked about him having those 2 brilliant toronto seasons in NY, and then there's real debate.

as a Yankee fan, he will ALWAYS, ALWAYS, be a red sock in my eyes. i dont hold that against him. he overcame that adversity and became a winner, much like another big, round baseball player before him some 81 years earlier.

but it would be nice if roger could stick it to boston fans one more time. you guys were so brutal to him in the '99 playoffs. 13 years he gave you, and a smattering of boos and pure hate is what he got back.

Thats exactly the point. Sox fans didnt love Duquette by any means. But when Clemans signed with the Yanks, thats when the booing started. Its kinda funny that some Yankee fans think of him as a dirty red sox, and soxs fans see him as a traitor.

I was more upset that he went to Toronto and had the seasons he did. Why wasn't he in that good of shape his last year in Boston? Why didn't he show the same work ethic? Why didn't he thank the fans of Boston for 13 years of support?

Part of me hated seeing Wade Boggs in pinstripes but, like with Clemens, part me was happy to see him win a World Series ring.

He has become a HOFer with the Yankees. I see no reason for a debate.

Boston Wins- 192 S.O.- 2465
AVG Wins 14.7 SO-189
Toronto Wins-41 S.O.- 563
AVG Wins- 20.5 SO- 281
New York- 60 S.O.- 853
AVG Wins- 13.4 SO- 189
Now dont get me wrong I dont care if i see Clemens as a Sox in the hall but 2/3 of his stats came as a Sox. And even if he didnt have the rings he would still be there. I say put him in in as a Blue Jay. He hasnt been the most dominating pitcher as a yankee.

because you cant see you're wrong. his 3rd cy young with the sawks solidified his HOF status. he became a first-ballot HOF'er after those unbelievable seasons in toronto. other than the rings, which you earn as a team anyway, his other accomplishments (300 wins, 4000 Ks) were just a result of playing so long. its insignificant that he earned those as a yankee.

reason he should go in as a yankee, see Nolan Ryan's stats and he went in as a texas ranger.
